CCD Webinar #8 - Leveraging public procurement to accelerate the transition to a circular economy

Public procurement stands out as a decisive, high-impact lever that cities can use to lead by example by purchasing goods and services that support the transition to a circular economy. While a growing number of Circular Cities Declaration signatories are reporting using more circular practices in their procurement processes, there are still challenges with mainstreaming the approach across product categories and departments. This CCD webinar will examine best practice examples and tools that cities across Europe have used to implement a more circular approach to public procurement. Support partners and CCD signatories will present tools, such as a circular food procurement pledge, innovation procurement procedures, and LCA to support the use of circular procurement in their cities and regions.
