It’s really hard to act like you are playing a video game you aren’t playing while simultaneously remembering lines. There’s an argument they should have actually had Halo set up on the TV, muted, just so the actors had something to work with, but that could equally just be distracting.

I think in The Staircase Implementation, they actually were playing. That scene where Sheldon walks in and they’re playing Double Dash, if you look at their hands, it looks like they’re really playing.
