I have an INE sub and I totally agree, there's zero energy or enthusiasm from their instructors. I also felt like they patched a bunch of their traninings together to make the classes. I like CBT Nuggets a lot more.

Thanks for the info! Regarding KBITS SDA labs, do you have a completely blank slate and unrestricted access to do anything and everything required to pass the exam? Also, within the SDA lab environment can you integrate SDWAN with the SDA nodes? Thanks for your time!

Khawar and his team have recently updated everything for v1.1 of the exam. So my experience may no longer be valid. For me, I had unrestricted access (for all intents and purposes). I completely ignored his labs and configured the systems the way I wanted. That said, his ISE was not licensed to do everything I needed it to do. Even so, I was able to configure everything just like I saw on the exam, but I couldn't perform the final tests. He does have a "Super Lab" in which you do both SD-A and SD-WAN tasks, however I don't know if they're actually integrated or not. (His SD-A stuff is real equipment in a rack all his other stuff-including SD-WAN-is running in EVE-NG.) I never did his Super Lab.

There is no self-paced, pre-recorded. 1) He offers a 2-part boot camp (one-week R/S with Narbik and one-week SD with Terry Vinson) OR 2) A 15-week class which meets 4-6 hours once each week for R/S plus a week-long boot camp for SD. Here's the thing that's important to understand. While the Narbik portion of the class is great, the real value comes from his workbook. It is a combination textbook/workbook. It is VERY well written, easy to read, and it covers every topic in great detail. I think the 15-week class is the best option, but he only offers it like once a year. So if you're hesitant to do the boot camp because it's impossible to learn all that material in a week, don't worry. You'll have all the time in the world with the workbook.

I took Orhans class but he was really hard to understand, there’s no editing and I did not receive any labs. I’m going to sign up for kbits first because from what you described might be a good refresher material and then I’ll most likely take Narbik boot camp after that. Thanks again 🙏🏻

Hi @jeremiahwolfe, great content, I watched most of your videos looking for any information about building your own Lab, but found none, maybe I missed something? I am curious, did you rent rack or did you have your own lab for practicing? I know you used kbits for SD access, but what about everything else? I checked micronics website and I see its mentioned you get access to EVE lab for month after bootcamp is over. What about 15 week training? Do you have access to EVE lab through all 15 weeks? I am CCIE in collaboration and planing to perhaps take EI as well, but considering what are my best options regarding lab. Would prefer to have my own rather then rent rack somewhere online. Appreciate your answer.

I can't speak to Colab. I have no idea what the requirements are and what can be emulated and what can't. With Micronics you get lab access for the entire 15 week class. If you can afford it, I highly recommend purchasing a used server to run EVE-NG. Get the most cores you can afford.

I think you misunderstood. I already have CCIE collaboration, but I am planning to take CCIE EI perhaps as I work less and less as a voice engineer and more involved on other stuff, like cisco SD Wan for example. So 15 weeks of lab access 24/7 or only certain amount of hours during the week? I have a server with 48 cores / 128 GB RAM, is this enough to run EVE-NG lab? Where did you get the topology or lab blueprint for eve-ng lab? You built it yourself or copied Micronics lab setup for example? @@jeremiahwolfe

@@92mmrkoci sorry for the misunderstanding. Yes, during the 15-week course you get 24/7 rack access. However your server 48 cores /128G is plenty. In fact that's what I was running my EVE on. Narbik will give you access to a dropbox with the EVE files you can import. Those will have the topologies for his lab workbooks and his Directed Activities that you do during class. That will cover all the R/S material. For SD-WAN, you'll get EVE topologies and workbook from Terry at the time of your SD bootcamp. For SD-WAN I mostly used my own labs though.

Another great video. I really like some stuff form INE l, specially with Brian and Rohit teaching. I always thought that Orhan’s labs were considered great because of their size and complexity, but I never did them, only heard about it.

When starting with the CCIE I too was impressed by the size of Orhan's labs. Once I got into it though I realized that big labs are a hinderance. Small labs that allow you to follow exactly what is happening is the best way to learn. (In my opinion.)

Beside all of that resources i am willing to attend Narbik CCIE EI 15 Sessions(weeks) Bootcamp. i just a bit confused should i use it beside of my resources i mean enroll it 5 or 6 months earlier than my exam or use it as last review before attending real lab?? Your CCIE training BEGINS when you do Narbik's course. In my opinion... just my opinion... STEP ONE (WEEK 0): Look at Narbik's dates for his 15-week course. STEP TWO (WEEK 0 - WEEK 30): 6 months to 1 year (depending on how much time you have) BEFORE Narbik's course begin your preliminary CCIE training to PREPARE for Narbik's course. Do all of your reading. And hit all of the blueprint at a medium level (Kbits is a great source for that. In fact by interleaving reading/kbits videos/kbits labs it will take 6-8 months and you'll be in a good position to do Narbik's couse. STEP THREE (WEEK 30 - 50) : Do Narbik's 15-week course. (Due to holidays and other interruptions expect it to run longer than 15 weeks.) Class on Saturday. Labs every other day. STEP FOUR: (WEEK 50 - 62) Schedule your exam. Review. You need to hit all of Narbik's labs at least twice and core technologies at least 3 times. Reread areas where you're weak. Prepare for DESIGN by reading Cisco Validated Design Guides and by re-reading ENCOR prep material. This will take 2 - 3 months. STEP FIVE: (WEEK 62 - 63) Take exam. Fail. Feel depressed. Get over it. Refocus. STEP SIX: (WEEK 63 - 71) Schedule Exam. Prepare for 2nd attempt. Study DESIGN questions you were unsure of. Build mock lab of tasks you need to practice. STEP SEVEN: (Week 72) Take exam. If bol_exam_pass == 1: celebrate() ELSE: step_six()

EVE-NG for R/S and SD-WAN. Kbits SD-A rack rental for SD-A. Kbits and Narbik both supply EVE-NG topologies for their labs.

Hey bro, I am trying to get into the networking field. I've studied all of the ccna level (but not taking the test) and now ccnp/ccie level stuff. I just ordered a used dell poweredge r730 (24 cores 128gb ram) to run narbiks lab book (the 2500 page one). I plan to apply for entry level networking roles once i have completeted all of the labs in that workbook, and I am also doing lots of reading and videos. I plan on taking around 6 months more from now to where im ready to apply. Would love a reply from you bro

CCNA will prepare you for entry level positions. You don't need to study for the CCIE before applying. Good luck.

Yes. During my time with him, several people asked him if he'd ever sell his workbooks separately (which I guess he used to do). His answer was a hard, "No."

I've thought about it. However there's a reason that there are only a few CCIE trainers out there. Financially, it's just not worth it. The amount of work necessary to build a quality product would be astronomical. Meanwhile the market for CCIE training is small.

Last time I looked CBT Nuggets did not have any CCIE level training. I used them for my CCNP level exams. They're okay, I'm not a huge fan though.
