I hope this finds you well in healthy, Which vendor cert would you suggest for an entry-level between N+ and CCNA, I have Diploma in IT(and Networks Engineering as majors) and i wanna do networks engineering/technician. Thanks in advance.
@NetITGeeks2 жыл бұрын
This is a very difficult question to answer because it depends on where you are and what kind of jobs you seek. In Canada for example, some private companies asked for Network+ but most would ask for CCNA. A+ is more popular here than N+. But when it comes to government jobs and research jobs, they do not care if you have CCNA or not. It all based on your educational background not certifications. So, this is difficult to answer as requirements changes based on what job in what organization you apply for. If I really have to pick one, I would pick CCNA. When it comes to who you should pick to take the exam, I would go for any accredited school or institution. Good luck and all the best.

I find confussing that you call every computer on a network a host or end device (5:20) but then you say that end devices is anything that sends or receives mesages (9:50), which would include e.g. servers. In the first definition, where you are trying to point out the difference between computer and server, you should not use the term end device because, as you say later, that is no difference between computer and file server.
@NetITGeeks Жыл бұрын
You are correct but also Cisco is correct. The confusion is that according to Cisco instructor materials, a server as well as a client can be consider as an end-device. This is because by English definition, a device sits and the end of a network that receive and send data can be consider as an end-device. For CCNA exams, they usually say "clients" and "servers" and lump them together as end devices while switches, routers, firewall appliances, etc. are classified as intermediary devices. Sorry about the confusing. I usually go over what Cisco provided to instructors but sometimes these long lectures can be bit more clear with these confusing concepts. Again, for CCNA exam purposes, look at clients and server (both) as end-devices and all other items in-between as intermediary devices (unless the new CCNA guidelines has changed/updated since this lecture was uploaded a year ago). Hope this helps.

Yes they do as long as you have registered for the classes. Some of these classes do require registering with an academic institution like a university, college or a technical school (instructor-led).
@claytonbugeja6791 Жыл бұрын
@@NetITGeeks yes i am doing it with an it institute , with the online lessons and doing the netacad exams and all, the industrial i thing you need a bit of field expierence before attempting it.

I agree with you but I wrote my CCNA exams with zero field experience and passed every single exam with over 90% average. For CCNP, yes you should have industry experience but for CCNAs I do not think it is necessary. Just study hard and get it done and it may open up opportunities for you. However, I found CompTIA A+ certification program is more useful in Canada than the CCNA or even CCNP certs.
