What I don’t understand is, why can’t Jackie, being a woman, can not be a pastor if God is calling her. I understand what the bible said, but in the end, it’s God calling her not us. So I believe she has the potential to be a pastor, because her sermon was really good, and she makes it so easy that you understand it.

Due to past eras when women were treated as second-class citizens in every arena, many assume that the biblical restrictions on the role of women in the church are part of that sexist mentality. Others assert that, since culture has erased most gender distinctions, the church should as well. Others point out that a woman may be just as gifted as-or better than-a man in public speaking and biblical insight, so she should be able to preach in the same way that men do. It is a divisive issue, and we need to look at what the Bible says. The Bible contains God’s guidelines for gender roles within His ordered world. Those roles are different, not greater or lesser. Red and green are different colors. One is not greater than the other, but they are used for different purposes. Together, they complement each other, filling our world with brilliant color. If everything was red or everything was green, we would not appreciate the beauty of either. So it is with gender complementarianism. When men and women work together within their God-designated assignments, God’s kingdom flourishes. Women are called to many areas of service, and they receive gifts from the Holy Spirit just as men do. They should fulfill those callings and use those gifts just as men should. Women with a gift for teaching should use that gift, but within scriptural guidelines. Those guidelines can be found in 1 Timothy 2:12. The emphasis is clear: God designates qualified men to be the leadership in the church with women and most men serving in supporting roles. This does not necessarily mean that men cannot or should not learn from women; it means that women should not have spiritual authority over men. The position of pastor or elder is a role reserved for men-who must also meet certain qualifications (see Titus 1:5-9). A woman who is gifted in teaching or evangelizing has many avenues for using her gift in the church, as long as she is not usurping the God-given spiritual authority of men. In most complementarian churches, women teach other women and children while mixed adult classes are led by men. A woman may be an excellent communicator and a terrific preacher, but her skill does not negate the Bible’s pattern. She should not be preaching to men, as if she were their spiritual leader, regardless of her giftedness. The biblical prohibition against a woman usurping spiritual authority in the church means, at the very least, that women should not be the definers of doctrine within the church. The authoritative interpreters of Scripture-the setters of the spiritual course-are to be men. Acts 18:24-26 relates the story of Apollos being taught by a husband-and-wife team named Priscilla and Aquila. Apollos received that teaching, learned the fullness of the gospel message, and became a more dynamic evangelist. Was Priscilla a prototype of modern “woman preachers”? No, the passage is clear that the instruction Apollos received was informal, private, and conducted by both Priscilla and her husband: “They invited him to their home and explained to him the way of God more adequately” (verse 26). Priscilla helped share the gospel with Apollos; she was never seen as his spiritual authority in a church setting. Paul later calls Priscilla and her husband “co-workers” with him (Romans 16:3). Some women who are gifted communicators feel called to preach, and in many cases they could do a better job than men in the pulpit. But it is important that they approach the issue biblically and voluntarily limit themselves to those avenues God has designated. Taking on a pastoral role, deciding a church’s spiritual direction, and other ways of exercising authority over men in the church go beyond God’s plan.

They put there trust in something other than the God that created them. They knew God personally and had knowledge from the source of all knowledge and they witnessed all his glory up close and personal. They chose to doubt God, they doubted that which they knew... They reached to be God... Doing their will not his....turning their back on the God... That was there sin.Those stories stole from the bible not the other way around... Do your research. God is real and true and that doesn't change just because we don't want it to be that way. His fingerprints are everywhere even on you...

John King Do you believe in spirituality or Metaphysical aspect of our existence, if yes, do u have evidence to show someone? If no, do you think you were here on earth just by accident? Just as we humans have the ability to create little things, so also we were created by a creator. To imagine a robot or a computer created by man telling man that he was never created. At that time you can only smile at the computers foolishness. Because he knows nothing. Final note: Whether you believe or not, it wont change the creators supremacy over his creation. Rather than set yourself high. i advice you humbly surrender to him who is greater than you. #YourCreator.

Probably because they listened to Satan, did what he said instead of what God said, and then found out what was bad. They knew what was good already, because God told them before they decided to find out what bad was.
@simoneymone895 жыл бұрын
What we believe is based on faith and only faith because we can not see God and all His glory until we get there. Then there will be no need for faith. But faith isn’t blind following, fables, or fairytales. When you come to Christ, He literally reveals all to you in supernatural ways. If your mom tells you do not run in the street. You are a child who does not know of what the consequences may be but know that this person who is your authority here on earth told you not to and you better listen and if you choose not to listen and by your own accord run in to oncoming traffic there will be grave consequences. As you were told. You didn’t need to directly be told the definition of disobedience. Because you have a relationship with your authority (mom or dad) they created you, they are your provider and protector because you didn’t birth yourself. You can doubt and disbelieve all you want to but do not try to cause my brothers or sisters who aren’t as strong in Christ to stumble with your questions that are demeaning rather than from truly wanting to know. I pray that Christ reveals Himself to you and you can receive supernatural salvation.

The time is ripe for a fresh examination of Gen 1-3. In the classical theology of the churches, Eve has been named as the companion of Adam who coaxes him to sin against God and to bring about the fall from grace that affects the human race until the end of time. This explanation, however, is seriously deficient when the text of Gen 1-3 is actually examined and allowed to speak for itself: 1. When the text of Gen 2-3 is examined, this fall from grace is never mentioned. Rather, the eating of the fruit of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil is associated with a wondrous transformation: “their eyes were opened” (Gen 3:5, 7). This is all the more wondrous in so far as this transformation enables Eve and Adam to see things as God sees things. Far from being a “fall,” Gen 2-3 narrates an elevation of the powers of Eve such that she becomes “like God” (Gen 3:6, 22). 2. In Gen 2-3, Eve has been associated as deceived by the devil who was bent upon the destruction of Adam. The “serpent” in the narrative, however, is never associated with the devil at any point. Rather, the “serpent” is the Middle Eastern image of wisdom incarnate. Far from deceiving Eve, moreover, this “serpent” is a remarkable truth-teller: "You will not die [when you eat this fruit]; for God knows that when you eat of it your eyes will be opened, and you will be like God, knowing good and evil" (Gen 3:5-6). And, according to the text, this is exactly what happens. 3. Adam, however, has been telling Eve that God said, “You shall not eat of the fruit of the tree that is in the middle of the garden, nor shall you touch it, or you shall die” (Gen 3:3). When Eve touches the fruit, nothing happens. Adam clearly is mistaken. So, she eats it. And the eating has wondrous effects. Thus, Eve exposes the errors of Adam on both counts. We can even suppose that Eve saw God as a gentle and wise parent who would never cultivate a poisonous fruit tree in the best place in his garden if he knew that he was endangering the life of his only children. Adam, on the other hand, never examined the contradiction in his understanding of God. For more details, see payhip.com/product/edit/FRny
@MightyFerg12 жыл бұрын
1. "Their eyes were opened" *is* the fall. The things that Adam and Eve were now enabled to see included (presently) death, war, hatred, envy, rape, murder, kidnapping, slavery, etc. 2. The serpent in the narrative is not named as Satan, but that doesn't mean that it isn't him. "Wisdom Incarnate" is just a guess on your part. 3. Obviously Adam didn't drop dead on the spot - the proper scriptural understanding of death is separation from God (which began immediately), and all that logically follows upon that; when Adam took his last breath, that was just the natural conclusion of what began when he sinned.

Can someone tell me why the tree was there to begin with? Like, why did God put the tree there? They couldn't eat or touch it so it was pointless for it to be there. And didn't God know they would eat from it? He knew...yet he put the tree there...why? God was neither surprised of there deed or his consequences to all humans. So again...what was the point of it all?

Hey Perry! I believe you have misunderstood God and His intention and logic for creating man. And when you miss that you miss interpreting everything else. They have a zeal for God but their zeal is not according to knowledge but according to the traditions of men! This paints God to be a monster and not a good good Father!
@tatyanaLELI7 ай бұрын
Hi can you explain where you came to this conclusion?
@focusonchrist777 ай бұрын
@@tatyanaLELI Thank you for asking. But I will first start with this: I cannot believe how we Christians go to church Sunday after Sunday to be told how terrible sinners we are. I don’t know who told us that when we tell people how terrible they are it will make them change their behavior. The Bible says it’s the goodness of God that leads men to repentance. - [ ] Let’s start with Gods purpose in creating man. “To be in the image and in the likeness of God. God created us to image Him and be found in His likeness. What is the likeness of God? God the only Immortal. ”Now unto the King eternal, immortal, invisible, the only wise God, be honour and glory for ever and ever. Amen.“. 1 Timothy 1:17 KJV. God predestined us to adoption as sons/not orphans but we have a Dad/Abba/Source of life by Jesus Christ to Himself, according to the good pleasure of His will, to the praise of the glory of His grace, by which He made us accepted in the Beloved.” Ephesians 1:3-6 NKJV 2 Tim. 1:8-10 “who has saved us and called us with a holy, distinct, unique, separated calling(a calling that beyond the cosmos, outside the universe calling, beyond what we know), not according to our works/what we do, but according to His own purpose and grace/desire and loving kindness which was given to us in Christ Jesus before time began, before the foundation of the earth/start of time but has now been revealed by the appearing of our Savior Jesus Christ, who has abolished death and brought life and immortality to light through the gospel,”II Timothy 1:9-10 NKJV. Our calling is to be sons and daughters of God and that means we inherit His life. He inherit His eternal life and be like Him immortal. Perry said that Adam and Eves sin was to want to be like God. That’s not true we were created with eternity in our hearts that’s our calling. The problems is achieving the calling by your own works. That’s where the problem is. Achieving Gods calling for life and immortality by our own works/eating from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil/the self effort tree. - [ ] The story of Adam and Eve is all about life and sin/death. The tree of life and the tree of death which is the self effort tree or we can say the tree of the knowledge of good and evil. What is the knowledge of good and evil. It’s trying to achieve Gods calling which is to be in the likeness of His immortality by our own works. When you do this the end is death and its fruit which is the works of the flesh. - [ ] Perry is insisting on the works of the flesh which is the end product of the whole problem. We need to go to the root which is true what she said “Unbelief”. What is unbelief” not believing where LIFE is found. Not believing/not being fully persuaded who is the true Father of life. Unbelief is not “God told you not to eat and so you ate so you are evil”. No Eve was deceived but Adam sinned. Adam knew what he was doing but Eve was deceived. First the devil came and darkened the image of God. He painted God to be this bad God who was withholding something good from Eve. Eve was naked and in need to be clothed and in that she believed the lie of Satan and partook of a tree she thought would clothe her with life. But first Satan had to paint God as evil and withholding what is good for Eve to have life. That was not true because the tree of life was right there infront of her to partake. - [ ] Perry’s statement that “Before the fall there is no need for confession but after the fall confession must fill up our days because sin does.” Yes, this is a very good statement. Yes we will fill our mouth with confessions but our confessions will be what God has done in Christ about sin and death. Man has filled his confession with sin and death and God created man to be filled with life confessions. Again the whole issue with man and God is not is man is behaving badly it’s man is dying. He is not where God intended for him to be from the beginning of time and that is the reason why man is bringing forth bad behavior. - [ ] What is confession? It’s is “homologeō” which means “homo refers to "same" as in homogenize, homonym, and so forth. The logeō part is "say" or "speak." Together, the word has the literal meaning of "to say the same thing”. We are to speak or say what God says about sin. We speak the same as what God says. - [ ] It’s true only God can make us right . What is right “ for man to have eternal life. The only problem God had with man is that man was dying. He wasn’t what He had dreamt for man. To live with Him eternally loving him. Now man our man is filled with sin and death and that will lead him to labor and toil for life and that why God banished Adam and Eve from the garden. He did this so that they don’t eat from the tree of life in the state of death. - [ ] Perry said that “God in His justice cursed all that were involved in this rebellion against Him.” Again this is not rightly dividing the word. God pronounced a curse. The curse was already in motion. Adam was hiding. The curse was already in motion. Death had already entered the human race. He was only pronouncing what is now going to happen. Gods justice is not pronouncing the curse but His justice is seen in Christ coming to die as man. The Bible says that ”to declare, I say, at this time his righteousness: that he might be just, and the justifier of him which believeth in Jesus.“ Romans 3:26. The justice of God is seen in the forgiveness of Sin and death and not in pronouncing a curse. The wisdom of the tree is the curser. It’s the one that brings the curse not death. The curse is a life of laboring and toiling for life. It’s a life filled with wicked works “Paneros” means to be full of labor and annoyances. Judahs heart was wicked because he trusted in his own arm for strength and the flesh was his confidence to attain to life and blessings. - [ ] Gen 3:15. Part is true. Jesus would come and would defeat sin and death and God pronounced that. That’s the justice of God. Yes. He would be born inside a world full of sin with a body that can die, have a body that could be tempted by sin and death, but He didn’t walk in unbelief. He walked in knowing the Father. He knew that life is found in the Father and not the works of His hands. That’s what He didn’t turn the stones to bread. He trusted that man does not live by bread alone but by every word that proceeds from the mouth of God. Yes even on the cross Jesus did what Adam and Eve didn’t do trust in the Father for life and that how He overcame sin and death in a world full of sin and death. By trusting in the Father for life/eating from the tree of life unlike Eve who believed that this other wisdom/belief could be the source of life. - [ ] Jesus becoming a curse became the mediator between us and God. - [ ] We can now come to the Father boldly because we know that God never despised us because of our sin but He is the one who came to divorce us from sin and death and give us His life as a free gift. - [ ] Sin is darkness to God as Father. Sin is taking the weight of death off us which leads to more death. - [ ] Perry said that “Eve’s offspring crushed the serpents head and now you being His offspring can do the same thing”. That’s absolutely not true. That’s will lead you back again to labor and toiling for life. No! Now that we are children of God and we have His life living in us by the Spirit of God as we hear and keep hearing this word of life “ as the enemy comes in like a flood the Spirit of the Lord will raise up a standard. Jesus is Lord. He is Lord over life. We are now under the reign of Christ. Which is the reign of life. And when sin and death comes in our lives the Lord of life will come and overcome that with His indestructible life. He will, inside of us, rebuke the sin and death around us. It’s He who is doing it. Not us doing it but His Spirit in us. That’s how He overcomes the sin and the death in the world

I believe She is born again and she is very passionate about the word but her zeal for God is not according to knowledge and it’s all about traditions of men that make the word of God on none effect. And it paints God as a monster and Avery cruel dad. But the truth is He is such a loving Father who has been misunderstood by even His own children in the church because they are living by sight/flesh and not by the faith/knowledge of the Son of God!

Ok but God does know sin like a patient knows cancer, he actually became sin on the cross.
