John Fogerty, there's no one better. He reached a generation then walked away to stand for something. His music will spand time...my boys are 14 and 16 and sing along with me to all his hits. Thanks John.

Fell in love with Fogerty's music while I was in Nam. Even in the bush, you could hear his songs. What a time. And still today, people from all walks of life still love his music.

Even John joked about it and said "bathroom on the right" on a live interview he did ages ago, I think during the acoustic thang for (shudder) MTV. Don't ever miss seeing him if you can. He will always be one of the greats of rock and is amazing live!

When I was at school we'd sometimes sing this in assembly (for some reason) and my friend would always go 'don't go out tonight, you're bound to get a fright, there's a baboon on the run.' Never been able to hear it the same way since.

Now, if you haven't noticed, John has this Les Paul Custom tuned the way he did when he recorded this song. It's tuned down an entire step. He plays what would normally be an E major chord in the first position. That's the magic of the sound of this song. Just doesn't sound right tuned to standard. Try it, you'll see!

The line is actually "I see a bad moon on the rise". But due to constant monegreening by the public, many thought it was "Bathroom on the right." He actually says "Bathroom on the right" as a refrence to this in many life shows, including this one.

Like many CCR songs, John Fogerty plays a guitar tuned one whole tone down on Bad Moon Rising. So when we hear DGADAG he is actually playing the chord formations we call EAB. So unless you have a guitar tuned this way you can never play in the same key the song is recorded in and play the same guitar parts.

Fogerty, one of the most underated songwriters of our time. Anyone who thinks "guitar hero" helps in any signifigant way to play guitar is dreaming...beyond a small amount of hand/eye coordination, the finger strength/dexterity required and complexity is on a different planet. Pressing buttons on a stick is not fretting an intrument. Might as well claim dialing your cell phone helps you learn piano. Hand this "shredding guitar hero" a real guitar, see how he does.
