I’m not your dad but I’m old enough to be. :) I say this: you are wonderful!
@valkrider1002 жыл бұрын
Speaking as a dad who is old enough to be your dad, you play everything with feeling and make each song your own. What more can a musician do? I lost my only son two years ago and the feeling of never having said enough is worse than never having heard enough.

This made my morning and got me out of a grouchy mood! I'm sure your father would have loved it....might not ever admitted it...but loved it totally. It must have been hard for dads of earlier generations to be expressive with their thoughts and emotions. As I get old and older, I realize they were doing the best they could within the limitations of their own upbringing. Thanks for the post!

I have been thinking a lot about that recently. Yes. His own Dad was the quiet, strong type of few words that put him on the bicycle at the top of the hill, above the creek, and said "pedal." When he fell off, he did it again until he stayed on. Obviously, I've heard this story a lot. :) I am thinking parents prepare their kids for the worlds that they experienced, and sometimes that doesn't line up so well with the particular experiences and trials of the next generation. We over compensate in certain areas that we feel were either missing for us or were really, really vital in the worlds we grew up in. Somethings are always applicable. He was also really big on me treating everyone as equals, usually my betters, no matter what. :)

Very Nice Both Playing & Singing on Both Songs Kappa. Even though your Dad probably had a hard time showing you his emotions, another of your long time fans here, just knows deep down he is proud as heck of the beautiful music you and your family must have shared with him. Thank you for still sharing these with us. Always checking back in and hoping to see new covers or originals from you and family 🤍. Stay Well ! Joe

Yeah. I am spoiled by this amazing guitar. It needs some new strings, lazy owner fault--it could sound even better. It's a Martin J40--a world-class guitar IMHO.
