I’ve seen a lot of ppl criticizing the quality and honestly I agree, but I still find most of the pets really cute and I’m so happy with all the accessories and play sets. It’s hard to dislike LPS.

While I agree the quality is flawed, I think it's cause it keeps everything a bit cheaper. I like that cause they're a lot more affordable...and I won't have to drop 300 bucks on an authentic old lps

The lps house is honestly so nostalgic. I’m not a huge fan of a lot of the new pets because of the colours, I think they are way too neon and bright, like why would you make a capybara be bright pink and blue before at least one normal colour one . But the house is amazing, so reminiscent with-ought being a carbon copy, love that basic fun is making new things. But pleaseeee make normal colour pls

I dont think the axolotl card is a prototyped version of the actual pet,it’s just a low quality picture that makes thencolours appear saturated differently 😭😭

The fuzzy things on axolotls are its gills btw! edit: Tbh I wish the pictures they put on the cards and boxes were 2d drawings in the LPS art style from the 2000s! I love art and that would be something i would appreciate. (Also this comment is a repost because for some reason my comment was sent into a youtube short when I was making sure I was right on the axolotl fact.. which was embarrassing to say the least! 💀)

in all honesty i dont feel like the new accessories/pets/house rlly fit the g2 style. theyre too simple and boxy. The inside of the house fits pretty well, i think, and the computer desk, asides from the keyboard, also captures the origonal style pretty well too

I think the crank on the back of the old hamster wheel works a lot better for tiny child hands, so it makes a lot of sense that they would get rid of it, since Basic Fun has shown that they know there are a lot of adult collectors too. Also I'm pretty sure the design on the back of the building is supposed to be a rabbit hutch, which is adorable!

The old chairs are so much better, way fancier and creative! and i feel that some of the new furniture’s and pet’s colors are just too oddly bright sometimes. But I love your review!
