Same but it’s like waiting for the treasure of the image at the end - restored to it former glory! That was a pretty old rug ? I’m guessing it’s a pretty expensive thing to have done unless there a value to those rugs , more than the intensive cleaning ? That looked like early Donald Duck , and worth a bit to a collector? The 65 year old Persian rug looked easy peasy next to this? Can I ask how much you charge per rug that size and in that condition?

When my parents bought their house in 1959, they bought what the thought was a fairly ugly dark blue rug that was almost black. My grandfather put it over the clothesline in his back yard and my grandmother handed my dad a carpet beater. By rhe time he was done, the carpet was a mottled royal blue with bunches of bright orange flowers. It was also a pure wool carpet.

That's a made-in-China Disney knock-off rug that costs less than $20. No one in their right mind would send this shit for cleaning. The chemical used to clean it would easily cost more than the rug itself. I've seen carpets rescued from floods. None can reach this kind of condition. Almost all are just caked with mud and not soaked in grease like this because water and oil don't mix.

My grandfather and my father ran a rug cleaning business in San Diego. Not once did I see a rug this filthy. People have horrendously low standards and would bring in rugs that they would roll up with dog turds on them but never like these rugs. These You Tube rugs are like something from a flood after a mudslide. Also, this kids rug would never be worth getting all of that dirt out. To clean it would cost many times the worth of the rug and no customer would pay that kind of money. That said, these videos are immensely satisfying to watch.

QUESTION 🙋♀️ Years ago in the 90’s I laid carpet and I’ll say many carpets look decent until you roll it up and look at the back. The front looked phenomenal but the back still looked very dirty. Why not do a couple passes with that industrial spin brush to get that back grime out too? I wouldn’t accept that carpet back any less clean than the front. All that work, cost, time, effort and pride…. Brush that back a couple times and you’re golden. God bless and be well!

@HalfB7 ай бұрын
@@iriock I guess I’ll clarify since I got a couple comments about this. He passed over it twice to get the caked on mud out but when he rolled it up where you could see the back it was still really soiled. He then stepped on it to get some of the water out. Again at that point two passes over the back was not enough to bring it to its original color and get all the dirt and stains out. He then started to add the sudsy ( I love that word 😆) soap and went to town with the industrial circular scrubber on the front. That’s where I noted he didn’t use the sudsy cleanser nor did he do any ( past the two swipes sans suds) passes with the industrial scrubber to the back of the carpet after that. So we saw the dirt and stains after the two passes and it was still really badly stained and in no way can that be scrubbed and cleaned from the front. I should’ve clarified in my first post that I noted the two passes but that just got out the caked on dirt ,but obviously not the more intense stain’s because we saw the stained condition of the back of the rug when he rolled it up and stepped on it to ring out the water. So, my question still stands… why not go over the back with the industrial cleanser and scrubber to get those notable stains out? Be well ✌️
