I'm a survivor too. I was hit more times than I could possibly count (and other forms if terrorization and violence). There aren't really resources for victims. Gaps in my resume/ bad credit score have also effected my ability to get decent jobs and rent (I'm working a job that is hardly above minimum wage with a BA degree, and am renting under the table as I can't get approved to rent despite having a job). The scars are not just psychological. It messes up your chances in life.
