I started buying CDs at the age of 13 in the mid 90s and have been adding to my collection ever since.. fair to say I have quite a lot.. certainly too many to ever want to count! 😅 My tastes are very much eclectic and seemingly not too dissimilar to yours in that I enjoy blues, rock, indie, hip-hop, electronica, etc etc all depending on what kind of mood I'm in and what I'm up to. Love your channel, keep up the great work! A question I have for you: did you ever get into the MiniDisc format? I consider it the best "modern" mix-tape format and still use it heavily, I find it hard to understand why it wasn't more universally appreciated!

Congratulations on your 1st thousand and cheers to many more! I listen to classic rock. The Who, Hendrix and Neil Young etc.

I’ve been collecting for about 3 years now and have a nice mix of classic rock, jazz, and classical . Nothing better than an evening with an adult beverage and picking out a cd or two for some enjoyable listening. Particularly like female vocalists!

Congrats on the 1000! I'm still buying CD's and have been since the late 80's, never sold or got rid of any of them. You don't need to give yours away - keep them - don't do it! Great channel!!

Cheers for the kind words mate! These are albums I already have in my collection, so giving them away is just sharing the love. I've still got a copy of each of them to play!

Congrats on hitting 1k…. Great watching your journey these past few weeks ! I got my 1st CD back in 1990 - my grand mum gave me a Technics CD player as a High School graduation present. I collected CDs throughout my time in the US Military and continued to collect through 2000-2001 when I began doing the MP3 thing. Thankfully I never got rid of my CDs as I have returned to them all these years later…. I convert them to FLAC and play them off a USB drive in my Denon, but I am looking at a standalone CD player again 😊 Thanks again for the fun channel !

Hello Matt, nice job on getting 1000 subscribers in that short period of time! I'm a huge music listener and have been since the late eighties. When the format first came out, CD's weren't cheap so I couldn't afford lots of them as a teenager. I started collecting more and more of them at the beginning of the century. As you know, the digital format was gaining popularity at that time causing a price drop on compact discs. That caught my attention and my collection started growing bigger. I now have a reasonable amount of them. I like almost all genres and styles of music and would love to expand my musical horizon with a few more discs. Keep up the good work!

Im back collecting cds after a 30 yrs and I couldnt believe my luck when I found the beatles white album at a charity shop for a few bucks. They were my first exposure to music that I remember in 70s.

New subscriber, congrats on your 1000 subs.. I am sure many more will come. I have been collecting CDs probably for the last 34 years or so. My tastes run all over the place: 70's to the '80's, some '90's, hair metal, some country (mostly the older stuff like Willie Nelson and Johnny Cash), symphonic and progressive metal, prog rock, classic metal, blues, new wave, "new age" and much more. I would be cool to add some other titles and artists that would broaden my musical horizon and possible turn me on to bands that you have here so count me in to this.
