It can be a business expense. Though the item has to be meaningfully used as part of the business. Buying the item as a set piece in the background is a gray area that can go either way. As long as the business is operating in good faith, it is fine and if there is a problem it will just require an additional payment in taxes. For instance if Tungsten Rat used the prop in a stream describing it to chat or using it to sketch, etc. a clear argument for it being a business expense could be made, but if it is never discussed and is placed on the background not even on stream the auditors may make the argument it is a personal purchase.

He got really big into Pokemon Cards a few years ago and he and his wife would do Pack Battles on stream. When he opened the OG Fossil booster packs, he got all of the holos graded. He's streamed with at least one Vshojo person a couple times. He has been in a few lobbies with Geega, and I think one with Zentreya..
