I think the biggest reason why he’s so good at Spanish pronunciation is his Welsh. The a e i o u of Spanish are present in Welsh and sound close enough, and they roll their R’s as well. Also there are a lot of similarities in cadence and the stress patterns between Celtic and Romance languages (that is, the stress often falls on the penultimate syllable), so that helps a lot

Yeah Japanese and Spanish have similar phonetic but R's are one of the different ones. Its a mix of l and r in Japanese and more of a flutter r in Spanish, edit actually it seems Spanish has two r sounds and one of them is very similar to Japanese r

The other R is similar to a D meanwhile the other R in Japanese sounds more like an L but I have heard them also use the D sounding R as well but this seems to be more of a local dialect difference.
