Abdomen: Golden Colored Nymph Dubbing…in this example I used Golden Brown Harrop Nymph Dubbing, but nearly any reasonably coarse dubbing will be fine

I tie a lot of nymphs with cdc, will have to add this one. I was first introduced to using a cdc collar on a fly called the lil’ spanker. With the success of that tie I use cdc as a variant on many others.

Hey Charlie, I know you say that is a nymph, but can you use this as a emerge?

Right after wrapping the CDC, I would have quit. That fly at that stage will fish just fine; the rest of the stuff is not necessary.
