I like this fly---nice job. Your addition of the foam I presume will make this float a bit better. 2 Questions: 1. What are the cross section dimensions of the foam you're using. I'm interested in the size that you've found works best. 2. Hard to sure from the video, but did you use 3 CDC feathers for the split thread application? Thank you.

+Shannon York Hi it will float better yes, but the foam also press down the site of each wing.so the wing will be hold down. the cross section is about 1,5mmx3mm yes I used 3 because the quality was not that good. normally two would be enough. hope this answers your quistions. ;-)

+SMHAEN Thank you for your reply. I assume the 1.5 mm is the height and 3 mm is the width, is that correct? Before I say your video I was going to tie some CDC spinners using the "split wing" technique. But, the technique in your video seems a bit simpler/faster. Have you compared the flotation/durability of a fly tied with CDC as per your video compared to the CDC "split wing" style? Again, thank you.
