The only small disagreement I would have with your review is when you talk about canting the scope and being able to use the cross as aid to place shots. For that the cross should be at 45 degrees not (est) 30 degrees. I do not care much for the cross but that is personal preference if the cross would be at 45 degrees and a little less bold that would attract me. Not to forget the price for this optic! Again, very good review you fill a niche!

What is with manufacturers not making the reticles daylight bright. If you're in 1X the theory is you can use it like a red dot. Am I missing something?
@CDOES2 жыл бұрын
Cost. And overall usability of the optic for what they think is more important. for them its using the drops with lume, as opposed to a super bright center dot.
@ComeOnPelican912 жыл бұрын
Most scopes that light up the entire reticle, or multiple lines near the center, are never daylight bright. Scopes with a single red dot for illumination are the brightest a battery powered scope can offer.

It does not seem Strelok has this reticle. Can some point to a similar reticle for BDC calculations? I'm using a different caliber than NATO 5.56/7.62. Thanks!
@RF_Drift Жыл бұрын
As far as I've found out, the reticle is based on a 62gr 5.56 load from a 16" barrel. The Elcan's 5.56 variant is based on the same load and barrel length. Given that SAI is a sister brand I'd imagine they used the same ballistic math when designing the reticle. I've not had a chance to test it out past 100yds yet, but I'm gonna be basing my math off of Elcan drops until proven otherwise.

Would you recommend this for a fighting rifle if I added a canted red dot
@CDOES2 жыл бұрын
From my time, use and experience with it I say it would hold up as good as the very best. ATI wouldn't put their name on something that wouldn't hold up to their standards. With the like of elcan and tangent under their umbrella it's easy to see why. But anything can fail. And their 5 year warranty is kind of a buzz kill. But if you never use it. Then it's a non issue really.
