Commander Ashok VM Kumar is a former Naval officer and alumnus of the 93rd National Defence Academy. He currently serves many organisations as a Senior Consultant for human trafficking issues, including International Justice Mission. During his illustrious career with the armed forces, he held many high positions with the Navy, Coastguard, Marine Police Force, and Naval Police Investigations, and has provided security for vital national assets. His service also won him several Naval awards for saving lives at sea. He has also trained officers at the Indian Naval Academy, and was instrumental in setting up a key Marine Police Station to combat human trafficking by sea.
