Two of my favorite sounds, in one video! Sandhill cranes fly in to central Wisconsin along the Wisconsin river way in the middle of March and leave middle of October. Many nest near our home so we get to here their primordial call all summer. In 87 I worked at OFI for a season and loved hearing the bull elk. Sometimes you’d get Barred Owls answering the elk at night and it’d be super otherworldly sounding. Love it! I hope you are enjoying the beauty , I know it’s a slog and a lot of hard work. Best of fortune for the remainder of your triple crown!

Another great video. Through the Yellowstone. That crane scene was surreal. Elks. Grizzly footprints. My favorite Tetons. All in one video. Simply superb. Keep pace. I am getting nervous. But don’t get hurt. Keep smiling.

I was just watching one of your videos I think I noticed You were from Springfield Missouri. I have lived here since 1991. I fly into Atlanta on December 29 and will start the AT on January 1. My goal is to do a double AT and the PCT and if I can stay healthy and the weather is favorable I may attempt a calendar year triple who knows. not sure what the oldest person to ever complete a trouble in one calendar year but I will be 58 October 15, 2023. I would live to pock your brain if you are back in Springfield before i leave. What you are doing is amazing and it has been a lot of fun Watching your progress

That famous Bog! My husband and I went through when there was no fresh rain, it actually stunk. We ended up getting Toenail fungus and our socks would not wash clean of that smell and we ended up throwing our shoes away 🙂. You were fortunate to have that fresher water 😂. Don't understand why the park doesn't put a couple logs in there to help water crossing. Love following your journey💚

I did when I first started night hiking but I've done it so long now it doesn't bother me. You really can adapt to most situations. Even camping in grizzly country doesn't make me anxious anymore, but maybe it should still 🤣
