This problem is from CE board May 2022. I used the method of Shear and Moment Diagram.
From the figure shown:
1. What is the value of 𝑥2 so that the max. moment in the beam is the least possible value?
2. Find the distance 𝑥 if the moment at the midspan is zero.
3. Find the value of 𝑥 for the least shear.
