CEBU-CORDOVA LINK EXPRESSWAY COMPLETE UPDATE (INAUGURATION UPDATE) ✔️💯🌉

Cebu-Cordova Link Expressway (CCLEX) is an 8.9-km. tollway bridge and 3rd linkage of Cebu and Mactan. Connecting Cebu City in South Road Properties and Cordova in Barangay Pilipog. This mega infrastructure is a project of Cebu Cordova Link Expressway Corporation (CCLEC), a wholly-owned subsidiary of the Metro Pacific Tollways Corporation under a joint venture agreement with the City of Cebu and Municipality of Cordova. Once open, this mega toll expressway bridge will utilize an all-electronic collection system to ensure safe and seamless travel experience. Here are some fun facts about the Php30-Billion CCLEX:

No. of crosses: 8 total/ 4 on each pylon (lights up at night)
No. of lanes per direction: 2 (4 total)
No. of toll gates: 8 total (4 per direction)
Equipped with multi-directional bearings for earthquake proofing (upto 7.8 mag.)
Equipped with 2 Road Weather Information Systems
Utilizing RFID systems in its tollway
Daily capacity of 50,000 vehicles
Equipped with Weigh-in-motion sensors that will detect overloaded vehicles
Equipped with IP-Based Speed Detection Cameras and HD CCTVs
Service facilities such as gasoline stations, retail outlets, convenience stores, restaurants
24/7 security, medical, and maintenance centers

This is not PPRD project. It's PPP under Pnoy the design planning and funding started on 2014. MPTC under MPangilinan a private entity the main force to build this bridge. Upon gathering 27.5 billion pesos in funding from Japan, private entities and taxes,the construction started on 2017 . ContractorwereAcciona of Spain+ FirstBalfourofphilippines a Lopezgroup of companies + DMCI philippines. The project was delayed due to short.fall of 6 billion pesos. LGU plus private entities raised the funds the construction was completed 2022. Fyi

NICE BRIDGE FROM CORDOVA TO TALISAY WITHOUT ANY EXIT TO CEBU CITY CENTER looks like some oligarchs from SM seaside and new future hotels in the area received their payback preferences. from Cebu int airport to Cebu city only option is a right turn in Vestil st then to connect Bacalso ave. by the way the bridge looks awesome....very similar to the one crossing the bay of Tampa.
