Cec has made belt transport for different brands. I have an Yba cd delta 3 with a Cec mechanical. It's high end Hifi. Weight is to avoid vibrations. Not the kind of construction you'll find on 500€ cd player. Thanks for your video.

I have the C.E.C. TL51XR player which I bought new from a dealer. After many years the belt wore out and wouldn't stay on the pulley. I contacted CEC for a replacement belt. They wanted $50 plus shipping that they would give me a pass code so that I could make the purchase. No thanks. I asked them for the dimensions so I could buy them off eBay. They said it was proprietary and couldn't possibly disclose that information and if I bought a Chinese belt off eBay I would likely run into more problems and it wouldn't be a permanent fix and then they said I should ship the player to them to inspect it and find out what's the source of the issue that I'm having. Anyway, I measured the diameter and thickness of the square belt and bought them off eBay and installed it and it's working and sounding great as it once did. Really poor American representation of a great product.

Вопрос: зачем в схему ставят больше одного предохранителя? В аппарате С.Е.С. - 5 только один. У меня 3 разных сидюка и везде 2 штуки. На втором даже нет напряжения. Интересно.

Обычно каждое отдельное напряжение защищено от перегрузки по току собственным предохранителем. Это необходимо, например, для предотвращения пожара.

Overengineered. How can a belt driven CD transpor can sound better than a "normal" one???

I think this come from a machine builder team. But the CD will regulate the bit-stream down in it self. That mean if the bitstream is to less the motor drive faster and if it is over the mark it will spin slower. It is not depend on belt or direct drive the BER (Bit Error Rate) will be I think the same. Bit error from non reading and/or from spin cliches how we can make a difference? weakbit
