IMO, “Finally” was the song that brought house music to the mainstream. Before “Finally”, house music was only known to crowds who were “house heads”, and went to the underground DJ sets, or the gay clubs, or people from Chicago (the birthplace of house music). However, when this song came out, it was played on BET, MTV, VH1, and every radio station. It was a true universal JAM.

I saw her outside Newark Liberty Airport in full mink coat, I happened to have had her music with Full Flava in my playlist. I gave her my appreciation she smiled, extended her hand and this woman was so gracious. I love her even more. True meaning of a Queen.

CeCe also did theatre in the 90s! I will never forget her in the 1998 touring production of The Wiz! I think she was Glinda the Good Witch. It was an all-star cast, with Grace Jones as Evilene, Tony Terry as the Tin Woodsman, and Peabo Bryson as The Wiz!
