Before “Finally”, house music was only known to crowds who were “house heads”, and went to the underground DJ sets, or the gay clubs, or people from Chicago (the birthplace of house music). However, when this song came out, it was played on BET, MTV, VH1, and every radio station. It was a true universal JAM.

Yeah they be messy like that especially in the music industry. I've been a fan of hers since day one. Never heard her speak before and so impressed how professional classy confident ageless she is. I love how she stands her ground with this dude trying to test her.
