Back in the late 70's to early 80's, Chuck E would say so many things that would be considered controversial these days, especially when Chuck E Cheese is nowadays considered a family-friendly character. Back then animatronic CEC shows also focus to entertain the adults, not just kids. Honestly, that's one of the reasons why the CEC shows back then are so much better than the modern CEC shows nowadays in my opinion, it appeals to everyone.

I don't mind the cec showtapes but my issue is that they aren't very structured, they hardly ever sing popular songs at the time, lots of random talking making it difficult to listen too sometimes, also they rarely finish a song without discussion in-between, I prefer the showbiz pizza place Showtapes because of that Edit: I've changed my opinion a little bit

Old School Chuck E Cheese shows, Rock a fire Explosion, Wolf Pack 5, and Hard Luck Bears(The Creative Engineering show with the prototype of Billy Bob whos is Billy Wilber and his family, not to be confuse with the Rock afire ripoff with changed cosmetics) are the best animatronic shows in my opinion. If I would ever time travel back in the 80's, I'd make sure I go to both CEC: Pizza Time Theatre and Showbiz Pizza Place for these animatronic shows, they're really great :)
