Cecile, I just found your channel (and have signed up for one of your classes) and am learning so much! I was wondering, I’m quite confused about the “best” way to use gouache-straight out of the tube or in an airtight palette? Do you think one is better over the other?

It depends on how much you use gouache. I use it a lot so I find it more convenient to have it in an airtight palette. Although it might not be the best if you paint let's say once per month. You'd better squeeze it from the tube when you paint. And thank you for signing for my class!

Hi Cecile....first of all thanks for all your video's, I've learned so much from them. One question about the arabic gum (binder) in one of your tubes (WN)...You said you do not want it in your paint, why not? I thought you would mix it with the paint (that's what I do with watercolor). If it is in the tube it also is in your paint right?

Yes, you can mix it with the paint. But I don't like when it's coming alone from the tube. I feel it's a lot of binder to mix with so little paint.
