I'll die on the hill that the pineapple on pizza isn't the problem people have, its the horrid ham hock you usually get when you order a hawaiian. Legit don't get why they don't just use the ham from the other ham pizzas.

The italians definitely have an issue with pineapple on pizza, they see it as a fruit and fruits should never go on pizza. Though I'd like to point out that tomato is also a fruit but they also don't seem to notice that kek.

I think it's the clash of sweet-sour pineapple with the rest of the savory ingredients that gives it a muddled taste. I don't care for pineapple pizza, but I don't go into Reddit frenzy when somebody likes it.
