Everyone has a taste... Tastes differ and it is hard to satisfy all of them. Some people like vibrato in Baroque, some do not... Orlinski is a male, Bartoli is a female. Their approaches are also different. Everyone will find something they like better or less... The freedom of choice offered by art is very, very broad... Let people decide what appeals to them....

Why is everyone complaining about the tempo? I love it slowed down. Given the context of the song, I think it’s highly appropriate and gives the listener a chance to savor the song. Also, I don’t think it’s fair to compare her to counter tenors, since the timbre and quality of voice is so different. I do think her version is the best, with Phillipe Jaroussky being a second favorite. Orlinksy’s voice is not rich enough and he doesn’t have mature technique. He may improve with age. Just my opinion.
