Cedar Point 2021

For the 2021 season, I decided to take a break from producing multiple vlogs and instead gathered footage from all of my visits and created one vlog-like video. Cedar Point was finally able to celebrate it's 150th anniversary after being delayed a year by the pandemic. Wicked Twister gave its last rides in 2021, and Antique Cars was removed at the end of the season. I was there the day of the Top Thrill Dragster accident on August 15th, but I wasn't really aware of how serious it was at the time. Filmed 6/4/21, 6/29/21, 8/15/21, 8/16/21, and 10/16/21.

This time of year is sad as the park is closed, the weather is cold and wet and the sun is nowhere to be found. Watching your videos always brings me joy. Seeing the bright blue skies, hearing the sounds of the park and watching your amazing footage makes my day. You have a gift, Bob!

Yeah, it was really fun working there this year. I worked at forbidden frontier in the day, and I was a parade float spotter at night and it was an amazing time that I will never forget. I will be back this summer for more amazing rides to work out, and more amazing memories! Also, I am the guy with the blonde hair spotting the boat float!

Absolutely refreshing Bob. I truly needed this one. It is windy and rainy yet again in Boston. So seeing these blue skies and the people having fun was so great. Once again you editing skills are perfect. My favorite shot of all was at the 28:51 mark. It looks like you were literally laying under the Steel Vengeance track. The Vengeance footage out sublime. I went 4 times this year. Goodbye wicked twister, went on the front for the last time. I like that one cause it reminds me of “Superman ultimate escape” at the old Geauga lake.

@@CoasterBob62 Thanks! I was thinking about taking a boat ride around Cedar Point, but the only thing option I’m really seeing is renting a boat. Do you have any recommendations on any boat tours I maybe could go on to get some shots of the park on Lake Erie?

@@itsdecent5428 I wish I had info on boat tours, but I don't. One thing I can suggest is sign up for CoasterMania -- it usually includes a boat ride around the peninsula. Several years ago you could ride one of the old paddleboats from the marina to Mean Streak and back, but I haven't seen them for years.

There weren't many of us riding it that night. I rode twice in the front seat, my last rides ever, then I got that footage. I'll miss it too, but man, those last rides I had were rough -- fun but rough.

my sister bought me a gold pass for 2022. I've never had a pass here and I only go once or twice a year. I wanna design for RMC so I am SO excited to get here hopefully every week in the summer.

As usual love your Cedar Point videos, Bob. It's a shame that Cedar Point is a two hour airliner ride from Florida. Hoping to make it back soon. All I could think of at 20:18 and 23:25 is Cedar Fair apparently came up with their own version of Jungle Cruise at the Disney Parks LOL.

Awesome footage! I was able to go to Cedar Point for the first time ever back in mid June with a buddy of mine and it was great. The only down sides were that the day before we got there, the chain on Gate Keeper's lift snapped, causing it to be down both days we were there and the park closed at 8 so we didn't get any night rides. We plan on going again next August.
