Cedar Point HalloWeekends- Witch Ceremony and Screamsters 2014

I was able to get a good vid of her this year (2015) and the Voodoo Screamsteron my second try. I stood closer off to the side. The Public Restroom location doesn't quite work ; Otherwise it drew a crowd and it's a nice building overall (former Frontier Lift station). The old Overlord got kicked in the groin by a kid once ;

I tried taping her this year. Couldn't hear a word she said lol didn't help girls in front of me started screaming at the Screamsters. I did get a shot of her and her handler walking up the ramp. And the coffin races ^v^

Very good quality footage. What type of camera were you using to get this? I would like to suggest that in the future you use a tripod or try to focus more on staying still with your camera. This video had the potential to be really awesome, but your movement leaves the person watching feeling dizzy and not really able to see what is going on clearly. I had to learn the hard way about this as well, and just wanted to offer you a tip on your work so that you can improve. :) Happy shooting, and Happy Halloweekends!

Hello MerollaPhoto! I use a Samsung ST72 digital camera for all of my videos! I tried to keep the video as still as I could considering dozens of monsters were running around. I also did not know what to expect because this was opening night! Thanks for the tips though. I don't really use a tripod for my videos but I will work on it.

Coasterlover21 Photography Nice little camera you have there. I had a very hard time finding anything handheld that would even come close to matching the quality of our Heros or DSLRs. Taking pictures with a camera is one thing, taking video with them is something completely different! :) Seriously, the best thing to do with a camera when you are taking video is to either have it on a tripod, or sit it down and don't touch it. Have a wide angle, capture all the action, but at the same time, allow the viewer to look at what they want to look at when watching it. If you have a focal point of the video, find it, stay on it, and make sure your footage isn't shaky. Too much movement from you, the camera operator, makes the video difficult to watch and really know what is going on, or what you want to convey with your video. Video can be tough to get right, but just a few simple things will make it 100 times better! :)

What ever happened to the Overlord? Why the change from him to the witch and the location? Just curious.

Crissbaby2008 I don't know why they got rid of the Overlord and I don't know why they moved the location. Maybe because there is a live show at the old location.
