Out of many this is the best video on how to install Cedar shingles. Thanks for sharing.

This is easily the coolest shed project on the Internet. I've been collecting parts for years to make it.

You are right. This one short video was my go to help, when doing my well. Guy is point on. Kept it simple. I came back to leave note of a couple of snags I ran into. Great Video.

So well done. I just did a bit of cedar shingles with my brother on my very large roof. Watched many videos. Yours is the simplest and best. The details are so important. We are both experienced builders and appreciate your candor. Cheers!

Oi, boa tarde! Poderia me informar qual o espaçamento das ripas que recebe as telhas, e o tamanho das telhas, por favor, sou do Amapá - Brasil. Pretendo fazer uma cobertura de casa assim. Grato.

When laying down bottom 1st row. Pick out shingles that are sub-standard for the job. The scrub with holes & dbl check your ledger line everytime. *Never leave hammer on top of ladder, or you'll find out why, the hard way. School of hard knocks. LOL!

@RichardABW7 жыл бұрын
D Ferguson You don't need to put anything under cedar shingles.

It is how roofs were done in the 1930 s and it works. Key is how you overlap the cedar shingles

How do you determine how many packs of shingles you need? Those packs that Home Depot sell look about 20 sq ft each, is that about right?
@cramersclassics9 ай бұрын
A bundle should be 1/4 of a square (100SF) or 25 square feet. Depends on how you use them in siding or roofing. Roofing has a smaller overlap.
