Oi, boa tarde! Poderia me informar qual o espaçamento das ripas que recebe as telhas, e o tamanho das telhas, por favor, sou do Amapá - Brasil. Pretendo fazer uma cobertura de casa assim. Grato.

So well done. I just did a bit of cedar shingles with my brother on my very large roof. Watched many videos. Yours is the simplest and best. The details are so important. We are both experienced builders and appreciate your candor. Cheers!

No drip edge over horizontal trim. No flashing. I mean...it's a shed but water is just going to POUR in around some of those horizontal trim pieces and windows.

I wouldn't call this a shed, it's too beautiful!

When laying down bottom 1st row. Pick out shingles that are sub-standard for the job. The scrub with holes & dbl check your ledger line everytime. *Never leave hammer on top of ladder, or you'll find out why, the hard way. School of hard knocks. LOL!

This is easily the coolest shed project on the Internet. I've been collecting parts for years to make it.

You are right. This one short video was my go to help, when doing my well. Guy is point on. Kept it simple. I came back to leave note of a couple of snags I ran into. Great Video.

Wrong. Enjoy your split boards. You only need one nail in the center of the boards on every perlin support. This allows expand and contracting without splitting.

The siding install is fine, but there's no weather proofing membrane to keep the wood protected. A mistake in my opinion.

You should be nailing on the top edge of the board so the next row covers your fasteners.
@oobaka19675 жыл бұрын
I saw someone do that too but wouldn't that leave each board really easy to pull out and lift up with wind or vandals?
@daviddoughty7645 жыл бұрын
@@oobaka1967 it lays flat so wind cant can't under it. I suppose vandals could do that if they really wanted to, I've never heard of/seen that myself though.

@davidrobinson55814 жыл бұрын
boardandbattensiding yes that will be ok. I used that on one previous house build. And I’m currently doing the same on a tiny house build.

*It is outstanding! This Shed Plans teaches me how I can build shed that costs enough less [Go Here=>**lovy.biz/etxg** ]. In my conscious thinking, I can say that just like me you will also be able to build a good shed much cheaper than the overpriced ready-made sheds that you see. If you have the resources you really can build a decent shed for nothing at all.*

Its not waterproofed. It can leak.i would put down plwood first, then roofing felt after shingle.also ridgecap he should caulk joint
@bentonbee1 Жыл бұрын
It is how roofs were done in the 1930 s and it works. Key is how you overlap the cedar shingles

Lol don't know who taught you, but you don't leave the boards with a gap you butt them up then put your strip down
@melissagreer64895 жыл бұрын
You have to leave gap for expansion and contraction in wood otherwise those battens will just pop off when the boards expand. They make this in fiber cement where you wouldnt have to leave much gap though.. He is correct though, you were taught wrong is what it sounds like.
