Cedric COOKED these clowns. If you didn't watch basketball you wouldn't know the Celtics just won the championship by listening to these guys whine.

Truth! These two clowns have no business talking basketball-especially in Boston. That’s why I listen to WEEI.

Tony whines and agrees with everything Felger says, they both are glass half empty, never do they give Boston teams the benefit of the doubt, Then there’s Beetle who listens to them on the afternoon show so he can basically push the Sam’s narrative!

you need to understand when the show started everyone had been hyped for brady coming back from the knee injury and people were hyped for the celtics to make another title run but the pats went on to lose 2 giants superbowls and not win again for a decade and the Cs lost to the lakers and then kinda sucked for the next decade too, so they're mostly right to counteract the expectations of delusional fans, even now people are saying we're going to repeat without realizing how hard that is
@devinberry44727 күн бұрын
@@mjackson369 How much of their air time has been used the last 24 hours to praise the Celtics and how much has been used either to criticize them, debate who is better between Tatum and Brown or debate how many they can win? The Celtics just ran through the regular season, ran through the playoffs and won the Championship pretty easily and it's been like 80% criticism and very mild praise. No "I was wrong they proved me wrong" no apologizing to Brown or Mazzulla for all the shit they talked, they're just like the clowns at ESPN who created a narrative got proven wrong and won't ever admit they were wrong.
@mjackson3697 күн бұрын
@@devinberry4472 they spent the whole first hour after the win basically saying that 'they got over the hump, mazz is an idiot for picking dallas, tatum and brown elevated etc' but you cant repeat that for 4 hours, hence hot takes

They did a whole segment, on this same show about how the Cs were able to draft Tatum and Brown bcuz the trams in ahead of them in each draft picked guys who turned out to be worse players. So yeah, 25 of 30 teams would absolutely pick the wrong guy. They do it regularly.

When a great offensive player drops 30 points on one end and allows his opponents to drop 40 on the other end does that make him a winner

No Brown wasn't better. Jayson Tatum (2024) joins Larry Bird (1984, 1986), Hakeem Olajuwon (1994), Tim Duncan (2003), LeBron James (2012, 2013, 2016), Nikola Jokic (2023) as the only players since 1980 to win a championship while leading their team in playoff points, assists and rebounds. Tatum had a legacy close out game and led in SCORING, BOARDS AND ASSISTS.

Plus essentially outdoing the ‘87 G5 EFC Bird/DJ ending in G1 v IND (forced TO, hit GT 3 pickpocketed Siakhm to clinch in OT, etc) But yes: JT even tho dumbass TO in OT had key def stop to end reg, OT 3, OT 3pt play in that game…and entire playoffs faced opp best defender/ double coverage, dropped key dimes (+ shoulda-been dimes)…almost triple-dub last night.
