I think that's an awesome Idea!! I grew up in the Methodist church, listening for YEARS about the birth, life and death of Christ. I remember, when I was younger, I blindly followed the teachings. As I grew older, I started questioning some of the basic beliefs. When I went to the pastor, and others, with my questions, all I kept getting was, "You must have faith, our minds cannot understand the full picture". That never set well with me. That was the pat answer, whenever there was an unanswerable question, the response was "have faith". I REALLY like this interpretation of the Christmas story. I'm not saying I don't believe in God or a higher power, but there must be another explanation. This one is REALLY good. The Doctor would do wonders with this song!!

I always felt like it was a different answer to religion. Instead of it being god and Jesus, the space man in the song was an alien and he knew this child would be the one human to bring peace to us all and if it didn’t work he would come back in two thousand years to try again.
