haha, hanging and footwall are mining terms (and geology). Imagine a tunnel through the fault, the miner would hang his lamp from the hanging wall, and he would be standing on the footwall (his feet are on the footwall).

Can i use these attenuation relationships for a landslide debris, i have Vs30 for the site and i know the nearby fault characteristics. Is this enough to develop an empirical ground motion prediction model for my debris? What could be the best GMPEs weight criteria in such case? Thanks
