Totally what Im about to do lol. So many videos where they take the whole thing down to paint, but I'm leaving mine attached to spray paint it! I'll unscrew the blades, but leave the main ceiling fan up. Great video! #broke

just poke the screws/bolts through cardboard and spray the heads to match.

now thats what you can do instead of replacing it, if you dont like the finish just re paint it like this, its good to save old ceiling fans instead of replacing them with a new one that wont last as long

Cool video! I'm going to be spray paint one of my old 90's fans too (probably chrome colored with black blades). The fan still works fine, it's just very scratched up... One thing is with my fan, is that I'm going to completely take apart the whole so each piece can be painted individually.

great idea, you could use a plastic shopping bag to cover your hand to keep it clean, also to save on new screws, spray paint the screw tops the same color as the other hardware :)

font do this. its undo-able and if you mess up you cant reverse it. you can also ruin a fans quality by painting over the stencil.

OOOOORRRRR YOU could just buy a cheap mainstays Walmart ceiling fan that is near identical to it (at least in the motor housing) but this was obviously great. I liked the gold and white but the new color looks great as well. Good job.

I was going to switch out my fan blades because they had that dated wicker inlay on them but all I had to end up doing was flipping them over! The other side was a nice wood finish.
