Ceiling Light Strip Family in Revit Tutorial

Doing a music venue with 4 nightclubs. We used this tutorial to create a wall graze family using an IES file. Super helpful and really appreciate you taking the time to produce this. We modified the family to be a ceiling based family so it would schedule.

Great as usual! Quick question, when you want to add a material quickly, you change the material, wouldn't be faster to apply a paint of that material? Does it differ from changing the material of the whole wall?

Great tutorial, my problem is that when loaded to the project, the family will be considered as a Generic Model (15:38) and not as a Lighting Fixture family, thus making it incapable to be included in any Luminaire schedule.

@@letapham no....only way if ur looking for render ...make any linear component -vray -emmisive material ....that process which he explained was very lenghty

I think he hides the version when he is editing the video. He overides the title with the "Balcan Architect Tutorial" text

This program looks amazing, is it easy/flexible to use? I have a cheap starter program "Architect 3D ultimate+" and to be honest it is not easy to use, each object/point placement or creation you have to do freehand and has some options for accuracy. Does Revit make that sort of situation any easier? I need to know what I should invest in for the future.
