Celebrating 20 years of MoneySavingExpert.com

In February 2023, MSE celebrated its 20th anniversary. Here, Martin Lewis and MSE team members past and present look back on two decades of cutting your costs and fighting your corner (and, yes, it includes some cringey shots of a very young Martin!).
Today, about 15.33 million emails have been added to our email list (though we now instead talk about sending to about 9.1 million active accounts). And even though Martin's baby is fully grown, he's still here, in his role as executive chair, one of about 65 people who work on the site - a good few who have been here for more than a decade.
Together we hope MSE is still fulfilling what it was born to do - cutting your bills, fighting your corner.

Just yesterday I watched Martin on breakfast tv talking about unclaimed help with water bills. 30 minutes later my supplier (Thames Water) had permanently reduced my monthly bill from £29 to £12… all done over the phone. As a struggling pensioner with a disability this is huge for me so thank you from the bottom of my heart to Martin Lewis and his team for directly making my life a little easier.

Martin - you do a wonderful job. One of the best recommendations was to halt those Christmas gifts that cost people so much unnecessary expense e.g. to children's teachers. Good if ML could do one similar on weddings as that seems to cause a lot of credit card debt these days, all for one day.

Get your IT nerd to revisit the decision to use CAPTCHA for login security. It is outdated and ties itself in knots too readily.
