Hey ! Not to defend him, but from what I have read, this is not exactly how this happened ! They both cheated on each other. Moreover, according to the sources I have read, we never had the proof that he actually wrote the awful things about Marilyn, it could have been a setup (some people wanted them to break up because they didn't all like this couple, if I'm correct...). Plus this is not directly why they got divorced ! These happened a bit after their marriage, and it only impacted their relationship a bit. It's later in their life that they actually began thinking about divorce and it wasn't that much linked to the cheating between each other, but rather because of the way their career was developing (he wanted them to appear as a serious couple, offering her roles in his movies that she ended up didn't liking. As for Marilyn, she was using alcohol, drugs and pills, and this impacted her career and the roles that she was supposed to play in Miller's movies.) At the end of her life, Marilyn said herself that they had both been a burden to each other, and that they were both responsible for the way their relationship ended (which, in my opinion, was very mature of her !) However, Miller didn't show up at her funerals, and I did not read anything about why he didn't. I'd like to add that my sources might be wrong, I read about their story on the Internet and I do not remember the site on which I read this article...
