Why is dancing to the beat of your own drum good for you? Meet a cast of weird and wonderful characters who celebrate being out of sync with society’s norms, and enjoy many freedoms that most of us can only envy. The film takes us on a journey into another way of living and joins, among others:
Daniel who lives productively and happily without using money, from his home base, a cave in Utah
Laura who has a duck that can tell people’s fortunes in Vancouver. Darla who lives her life in a nonconforming way. Gary who wears monks robes and leads a fan club for a US president who ‘did absolutely nothing’. Lord Toby Jug who runs for elections in the UK with the objective to add humour and sanity to the process.
John Ward known as the most eccentric inventor in England.
There have always been eccentrics among us and it’s time to bring them in from the cold and the fringes of our society.

My daughter is a hospice nurse. One of her clients was being cared for by an older woman who changed her name to “Serpentfoot” because her family was embarrassed by her eccentric lifestyle and beliefs. She shut down a city council meeting by starting to remove her clothes when she didn’t get approved to say the opening prayer (her own religion) for the meeting. She was trying to make a point about separation of church and state. I was happy to congratulate her for putting up the good fight. A very interesting person.

I totally understand and love these people ! When my home burned down, I did not have money to rebuild and had to live in a tent on the property. The neighbors, who knew me BEFORE the fire/tent, who were self-proclaimed "Good Christian People" treated me in a similar manner. Just like people did not understand multiple sclerosis (and falsely accused you of being drunk), my neighbors accused me of similar falsehoods. I am in very good company and love all of you in this video. There is a very special place in heaven for all of us !

Hello! My name is Casey. I'm 27 years old, born and raised in the Pacific Northwest. I have a kitten, work in the entertainment industry, and am an Eccentric person. Many Eccentric people are also Autistic, and/or other physical and psychological challenges. I am included in two of those categories. Being a close friend of mine can be difficult for people, because I do struggle so much, but I'd happily try out being casual e-friends from a distance.

So I'm considered eccentric also fundamentalist I love these people. the lady who said her mother told her she would never be able to use her looks so wrong because she was so beautiful and still is. God bless all the eccentric people in the world. I pray they all find Jesus as their personal savior but they can still be it's centric

Moab is to me one of the most beautiful places in this country, lived there . I remember Mr Jack Holly he was known as the old goat man, lived in a one room little house with his goats they would go inside. Mr Holly is buried in the Moab cemetery has a picture on his tombstone that my Mom bought for him when he died, he was burned bad from his tiny house catching on fire, he was also very well read and had traveled a lot, a one of a kind awesome person.

@Ana Banana I had no pre existing health conditions but have been left with on going symptoms after having covid 19. I have lung problems, damage to my upper respiratory tract. I lost my taste for 7 months, now have a constant taste of garlic and can smell sewage or burning where there is nothing there. Lots of things taste revolting to me now and I struggle to find anything I can stomach eating and have lost a huge amount of weight as a result. I have had a recurrent fever for months and almost constant headaches. It’s not like any flu I ever had before and I’m not sure if I’ll ever be better.
