Hey Jacqui... Your great great grandmom my Great Grandmom! She took care of my dad, Arthur Joseph Tourond when his dad, Elzéar Tourond was killed at the Battle of Batoche! Josephte Tourond is buried in the Cemetary at Batoche and my grandpa is buried in the Mass Grave in the Batoche Cemetary... I treasure their stories, memories of their lives... and I have written a few plays about Madame Josephte Tourond to remind children of the Métis People of the past and the Strong Métis Women full of energy and courage! ...
