I just saw khandhar (1984) and the movie on search for famine(1981) and had already seen mriggya in my college days.. His movies gave us the sense of urban rural divide.. And the back yards of India which still struggles which have not been touched by the development of 70 years.. I think mrinal da was disillusioned by the role of politicians be they any party.. He tried to tell us of lack of reforms in rural and urban middle class..RIP mrinal da.. And the trio of satyajit Ray ritwik ghatak and mrinal da will keep inspiring us..

90 percent of india dont know about him....they shout for bahubaali and singham thts unfortunate for us....literaly every film of him went for venice mosko chicago film festival...he also used to criticize a lot satyajit rays films!
