Happy Birthday Joe! Usually a silent watcher but just wanna give you some ooni pizza advice that has helped my family: Get a wooden spade for the pizza, slides much easier and then you can use the metal one for turning once it's in the oven. Don't put too much flour on the spade because it will burn and don't prepare the pizza on the spade because it will stick more and you will have a harder time putting it in the oven. Still went pretty well for a first attempt so good job!

Took me a while to get the hang of getting the pizza off the peel and into the oven when I first got my Ooni. It comes with practice though. Little tip for ya Joe - try using semolina rather than ordinary flour on the peel. I find it slides off easier. Try and give any remaining semolina/flour left in the oven a quick sweep out before putting your second pizza in too as it seems to cause the base of your second pizza to get a bit burnt if there's leftover in the bottom of the oven. The pizza turner is useful for turning the pizza in the oven for a more even cook rather than trying to turn it with the peel,

Lovely video Joe! An absolute treat to see all the love around you! My birthday is a few days before yours and it was pretty much another day for me. I don’t have a big family and most of my friends don’t live close. We’re in our 30s and everyone else has partners and their own life. I had a lovely gift from my dad, saw a family friend who visited and lots of people messaged me which was all really nice. I can’t complain and I don’t need a big fuss and I have a lot more than a lot of people, but if you have people that are willing to go out of their way…especially on your exact day to celebrate you in any way, even if it’s just balloons or a visit or a cake, appreciate it. Always appreciate people thinking about you and making time for you. I know you do anyway of course, but you’re very lucky❤

for the pizzas to put them in the it has to be one swift motion so place the pizza all the way in and then pull away quickly. it will slide right off. pulling out slowly and shuffling will break the pizzas like what happened to dianes. love the vlogs! want one of these pizza cookers for myself. it looks delicious!

TIP: use corn starch on the pizza spade. creates a more ''slippery'' surface for the pizza and the corn starch doesnt get burnt on the bottom of the pizza.

For the pizzas I would recommend semolina it helps it to not stick to the oven floor or the the board and before putting it in shake it side to side on the board so you know that it will come off when putting it into the oven, happy birthday joe loved watching this vlog 🎂
