Mikey, those little rooms for the chickens can be used as their nests. All you have to do is fill them up with hays or dayami or dried banana leaves. The chickens love to lay eggs and hatch them in the cocoons of dried grasses. Take care and love to see your land become green of luscious veggies and fruit trees... like Rambutan, Lanzones, Avocado, Sinegwelas, Santol, Tamarind, Guavas, etc. You have a bigger space to plant exotic tropical fruit trees. I’d build a kick-ass roof-top kitchen and put the roof and solar panels over that. Wow, it’s so cool watching the birds bathing in the water feature. LOL, I remember the day we first got Cypher (I actually went back and re-watched some of those early vids) everything changed for the better from that day forward. When you were talking about Bougainevilla having thorns, I remember that the plants can actually be used as a living fence to keep intruders out as nobody in their right mind would risk getting scratched up pretty badly by the thorns. Euphorbia could also be used for the same purposes for their larger thorns and that their sap is an irritant, especially if it gets in the eyes. And a Happy Birthday to Cypher and Pepper. Can't believe the doggos are now 4 years old.

To candle eggs- Just go to a dark room and use your phone's flashlight. It works great to see if it is developing. And, about the eggs that have been being sat on... if they are not viable, then you need to get rid of them. For your own health, please do not eat them after all this time. They are quite literally "rotten eggs" by this point, if they have not hatched by now. I've had some chickens take more than 21 days but I have never had any take more than 30. So, if you have reached that point, you need to check (for a definitive answer) and dispose of them if needed.

i think the pink philondendorn is a Philodendron Pink Princess, you can have it climb on the wall, its leaves and climbing stems will grow bigger and thicker. i love your aviary garden!!! i am slowly planning my open garden to be like that too to have an enclosed aviary too a lot o plants :) Happy birthday Cypher!

You can use the flash light on your phone hold the egg with your thumb and pointer finger ontop and bottom of egg then flashlight them and you can see everything inside black inside means there bad eggs if you see a yolk sack and filled more than half way and vain there almost ready to hatch and if there just yolk and clear inside there good to eat but if you want to know if there good to eat fill a cup with water and put the egg in it if it lays down its a very fresh egg if it stands on bottom it still good but if the float to the top there bad eggs.good luck

Have you considered aqua phonics where you raise tilapia, cod or catfish and vegetable like lettuce, tomatoes, spinach, kale in soil-less water. Water circulates between 2 tanks where poop of tilapia becomes food for the lettuce and the lettuce creates algae that feeds the tilapia an auto cleans the water. Electricity consumption for the pump is as cheap as running a coffee maker

You could probably add some small branches you can attach to the grills in the upper part of the aviary (roof deck area) so the birds can perch on them rather than them clinging on to the cage sides. 😊
