About Me:
My bio is pretty random: In short, I am a professional singer/songwriter from Toronto, Canada who moved to Manila, Philippines which sorta became my Hollywood because my first KZbin channel MIKEYBUSTOSVIDEOS grew popular due to Filipino comedy videos. Meanwhile, I'm also a big biology geek who is obsessed with ants, so I built an internationally operating ant business supported by another popular channel called ANTSCANADA, and well basically, today I travel and tour around the world doing what I love so I wanted to start this vlogging channel, in hopes to encourage you guys to follow your dreams no matter how random, by showing you what happened when I followed mine! You just never know where life will take you when you listen to the yearnings of your heart!

Same sex finches will bond as pairs just as they will bond with people. It's the companionship that is important. Also it's not unusual for different types of species to bond... and in a breeding colony they commonly hybridize. My favorite? The gouldian finches always get all the glory... but I love the owl finches. ❤

The birds will love fur from your dogs. After you brush them, tuck the fur in a container and they will use it for their nest.

For the birds to bathe, you could put a large shallow rock on that bottom tub so they don’t drown. They will love it!

Vines coming down from the middle of top cage and halfway from the cage one side to another would be great and they will porch more on the top of aviary

The new Gayviary looks great! I gotta say, seeing you two work together on this is awesome! It’s so rare that two people compliment each other so naturally, it’s awesome! Seriously, in my mind’s eye I see a disco flashing YMCA sign on the door, LMAO! I gotta say that I was a bit skeptical moving out the parrots but, not any more. This was totally the best decision. That waterfall pond is perfect! Once the birds get used to it, they’ll love it too. Maybe a small mist device in one of the pools? Looks like you’ll need to landscape the upper gayviary too (I know you want to do that too). I can’t even find words to say how awesome it is to have RJ’s family spending New Years with ya’ll. Seriously, my heart is so full! Mikey… seriously?!? These birds are like RJ… they’re making a home and they’re expensive in their tastes…. Simple hay will just not cut it, they need special stuff to make their nests, LOL. RJ’s Dad is just cool, holding Sahara like that… just cool! And, RJ Stewart strikes again with that fantastic table setting. All those kids at the Kid’s Table was incredible! Seeing the huge smile on RJ’s face, I think he’s totally in his element. What a great idea to hide prizes in those presents, you’ve totally become the best hosts ever! This was a super fantastic vlog! Thank you for sharing all this with us and, special thanks to RJ for sharing his family with us, it was great to see them all again. Happy New Year and, we’ll see ya’ll next time.

I think the birds will "sing" more if they have a female companion inside the aviary. They'll sing their courtship songs evenmore.

My male finches used to sing all day long to each other and build nests and do courting dances 😂 if theirs no females the males will try pairing up as their not fussy about partners 🤷 Plus you risk hybrid birds

Hey I suggest to put some vines up there at the 3rd floor or roof deck so that they sit on the vine and not clinging on the wire fence if you know what I mean. Good job. Love the birds..theybare so cute.. I am going home this Feb. I wish I can visit your nice house 😊 By the way where is your dad?

you should look at getting some perches that you can screw onto the top part of the indoor aviary, so they have places they can truly sit and enjoy the view so to speak

It's the colors! Of the table scapes. Just glorious RJ. You out did yourself. Yes Peach Fuzz color is right on trend along with those creamy yellows and of course greens, which will be big in fashion this year 2024. He really could have been an interior decorator. Have you considered stringing up sisal or unbleached cotton rope (natural or organic ones) around (I mean side to side of) the rooftop part of the aviary? It could be looped around like the vines you have and maybe attach Spanish moss or hanging baskets from it for greenery. I think you can get sisal triangular sling nets for parrots you could put up in corners for a moss/bromeliad/other living raft like basket. It would give them proper perching spots without having to cling to the wire. A lot could be done up there. :)

2023 was not a great year for my family, I think that's part of the reason I love your videos so much. You (&RJ) are literally a dose of positive vibes in my life. Seeing how happy RJ was to have his family there was so sweet! I love how much you guys cherish your families! & Just a thought for the pheasants, if you can put down some straw/hay/grass clippings on one end of the outdoor aviary they would really benefit from it. They are much more like chickens than you think. They also need a dust bath bin, maybe in a pretty low planter so it looks nice.

34:27 Kamansi is seeded breadfruit. The wild ancestor of Polynesian breadfruit (called "kolo" in the Visayas, which are seedless). It belongs to the same genus as jackfruit. And young jackfruit can be cooked in the same way. As well as other congeners like the antipolo. Cooked in coconut milk, they are some of my absolute favorite dishes.

Owl finches and zebra finches are both very closely related species and hybridisation has been recorded in captivity. For this reason most finch keepers keep the two species separate to avoid hybridisation. But if your sure all the birds are male hybridisation shouldn’t be an issue

Really amazing set up.. but i think it would be more interesting to add some more of platycerium on the avairy since this plant go huge while creating a chandellier like form which can be hang on th3re. Also those mostera albo, pink princ3s are so cool adding up some colors. I started my collections way back 2021 with philos and monsteras but they just taking some space, now im focusing on heart shape/round leafer anthoriums which i believe can also be an interesting addition to your plant collections, Hmmm also, i think caladium can also add vibrant colors especially on your pond inside the aviary, they are thirsty plants and they can easily be grown on that shading area yet provides full of colors…

I love everything esp the joy and artistry behind it. However if i have to suggest... it would be for plants, less is more... so each plant stands out more , not hidden behind each other. Looks neater too. Heights and color are impt too in plants composition... as well as shapes and texture. It's like dressing up.

the maidenhair fern made such a big difference , jungle vibe , plus philodendrons ( need more to climb up those brick walls ) , i considering to get a cotton candy fern myself , like the green lump look once it mature

the little beeps of your finch family make me so happy. beautiful birbs. and a beautiful home for them. finches do need seeds, i wouldn't replace that completely. their beaks are specialised for seeds. they also need food available around the clock. so maybe hanging up a small reservoire feeder would be a good idea.

Hey, I really like your vlogs. I also keep finches and other type of birds, I suggest that try to put a warming light for them because gouldians will get sick if it's too cold.

I love that you've planted Calamansi around the outdoor aviary. It reminds me of Ligaya. ❤ Can't wait to see more branches & toys for them. If you build some of the rolling playstands that are made of branches you'll be able to move them around to change up & enrich their environment... plus toys can be hung there and goit toys and foraging toys. Even in a larger outdoor space, they need the stimulation of figuring things out and searching for food. ❤

Fun Fact about Diamond Dove: They are in the same genus as Zebra Dove (Native to Southeast Asia), Geopelia. They happen to be my favorite species of Dove :D

You should get a hummingbird. Maybe add some of that white powder you put in your ant enclosure to prevent them from climbing into the bird feeder.
