Purim is a Jewish holiday that commemorates the saving of the Jewish people from annihilation at the hands of an official of the Achaemenid Empire named Haman, as it is recounted in the Book of Esther (usually dated to the 5th century BCE) i found on wikipedia

Bro you did not read the full story in Wikipedia , read this part too - "They decree that Jewish people may preemptively kill those thought to pose a lethal risk. As a result, on 13 Adar, 500 attackers and 10 of Haman's sons are killed in Shushan. Throughout the empire 75,000 of the Jewish peoples' enemies are killed." This is an old story so you never know what really happened but one thing is confirmed that Iranian people were massacred. I would rather not trust Genocide lobby narrative , they are very clever to twist anything to their favor. Even if you think Jewish people were under threat , this shows they killed innocent people who did not harm them in any way. But modern Historians ALSO say that this festival has nothing to do with Jewish community. This is an old Babylonian custom based on Persian myth. People often borrow other customs and create stories to support them. It is possible that there were no one called Esther or Mordecai in reality.

Most probably Esther never existed. Usually these stories get their own narrative over time. Nobody can be sure what actually transpired then. So, it’s best if we stop judging based on these myths.

HISTORY SAYS, Please tell the whole real story....don't tell part of the story only. Haman, chief minister of King Ahasuerus, incensed that Mordecai, a Jew, held him in disdain and refused obeisance, convinced the king that the Jews living under Persian rule were rebellious and should be slaughtered. With the king’s consent, Haman set a date for the execution (the 13th day of the month of Adar) by casting lots and built a gallows for Mordecai. When word of the planned massacre reached Esther, beloved Jewish queen of Ahasuerus and adopted daughter of Mordecai, she risked her life by going uninvited to the king to suggest a banquet that Haman would attend. At the meal she pleaded for the Jews and accused “this wicked Haman” of plotting the annihilation of her people. Upset, the king stepped out into the palace gardens. On returning, he found Haman “falling on the couch where Esther was.” The king mistook Haman’s frantic pleas for mercy as an attack upon the queen. The outraged king ordered that Haman be hanged and that Mordecai be named to his position. Esther and Mordecai then obtained a royal edict allowing Jews throughout the empire to attack their enemies on Adar 13. After an exhilarating victory, they declared the following day a holiday and (alluding to the lots Haman had cast) named it Purim. The historical reality of this biblical episode has often been questioned, and the actual origins of the Purim festival, which was already long established by the 2nd century CE, remain unknown. The ritual observance of Purim begins with a day of fasting, Taʿanit Esther (Fast of Esther) on Adar 13, the day preceding the actual holiday. The most distinctive aspect of the synagogue service is the reading of the Book of Esther. On Purim Jews are also enjoined to exchange gifts and make donations to the poor. Through the years many nonreligious customs have come to be associated with the festival, among them the baking of the three-cornered pastries called hamantaschen (from Yiddish homentash, literally “Haman’s pocket”) or oznei Haman (Hebrew: literally, “Haman’s ears”). Purim plays, which became popular during the 17th century, contribute to the carnival atmosphere especially enjoyed by children. Tisha be-Av, in Judaism, traditional day of mourning for the destruction of the First and Second Temples. According to the Talmud, other disastrous events such as the following occurred on Av 9: the decree that the Jews would wander 40 years in the wilderness; the fall of Bethar in 135 CE, ending the second Jewish revolt against Rome; and the establishment in 136 of a pagan temple in Jerusalem, which Jews were no longer permitted to enter. The expulsion of the Jews from Spain in 1492 is also traditionally believed to have occurred on that date. From sunset to sunset, a 24-hour fast is observed, except by Reform Jews. The liturgy of the day, performed by candlelight in a gloomy atmosphere, includes the reading of the Lamentations of Jeremiah and the recital of dirges (qinot); certain passages from the Old Testament are also read. Many Jews visit the cemetery on this day. If Tisha be-Av falls on the Sabbath (“Black Sabbath”), the observance is postponed one day. Tisha be-Av marks the end of a period of mourning called the Three Weeks. IRAN'S REAL ENEMIES ARE NOT JEWS. Until the 16th century, Persia was mostly Sunni. At the turn of that century, the Safavid dynasty conquered much of what is now Iran and made Shiism the official religion. The conversion was accompanied by a massive crackdown on Sunnis, so that over time much of the population became Shia. They were forcefully converted by Islamic rulers, people fled the state who are not ready to convert and migrated to different parts of world. Few people migrated to India and started a new religion Parsi and Irani. They are most successful business people in India and integrated with Indians
