@@daisy8297 I think he tried hard not show how nervous he was. Imagine turning 18 and having all of this attention and expectation on you...! He came across as very human and, yes, delightful in my opinion. He also just started to find his own path.

Ingrids greatgrandfather was a Danish Prince (asked to be the Norwigian King) who was a brother to the Danish King Christian X that is Christians greatgrandfather Ingrid will be the ruling Queen in Norway after her dad who is now the Crown Prince. Christian will be King in Denmark after his dad Crown Prince Frederik. It would be a really bad idea to get them together.

@@elinmoftedal I am aware of that; but even if they are related they are very very far relatives; their grandparents (Harald V and Margarethe II) share a great-grandfather. And then Harald's mother was cousin with the late Swedish King Gustaf VI Adolf and so Harald is second cousins with Margarethe II's mother Ingrid, the daughter of the late Swedish King. I am aware it is more than unlikely that these two ever get together etc. but at the same time, monarchies have changed so should Christian and Ingrid Alexandra happen to fall in love, one of them could abdicate their rights to the throne so yeah. But ofc it's a complicated matter regardless. And Idk but I've seen a lot of talk about these two's behaviour toward each other at Christian's 18th birthday gala; it's clear these two are pretty close if nothing else. I watched a few parts of it myself and I have to say, based on what I saw, that the talk might not be completely baseless. I saw Ingrid Alexandra's expression towards the end of Christians speech, since lots of people have taken screenshots or video shrots of it, and she looked VERY proud and... I can't be 100% certain about this but I would say she looked at Christian with affection or fondness as well. And double - also (yeah Ik I have a lot of analytic stuff here XD I checked some things out since I've seen and heard there has been lots of talk and wanted to see if it was based or not lol) I believe the two might have locked eye contact for a sec when Christian was returning to his seat. He looked in different directions and understandably had a pretty relieved smile after leaving the podium, then he passed some random guy who was a guest, whose head covered Christian's face for a short sec. When it was visible again, Idk but his expression was shifted; more of a soft smile and overall expression. I recommend watching Christian's speech btw, that's how I accidentally found these things after checking them out more closely :)

The British royals are rarely represented in other countries, when these things happen. The three Scandinavian royal families are very close with each other, both through family ties but also friendship. I’m guessing that the Belgian and Dutch princesses were there as they are the same age/generation as Christian and therefore future colleagues, the rest of the royals in attendance were all family.

It would, because royal protocol prohibits immediate heirs to two separate thrones from marrying each other. Though it could be a funny deja-vu if it was possible. It was after all under Margrete the I that Denmark and Norway merged their monarchies into a dual monarchy that lasted 400 years.

@@Insidoris14 Haakon the VI of Norway. And sadly no. She was never recognized as the Queen of Denmark. She was the Queen Consort of Norway. Her legacy was not fully recognized until our current Queen ascended the throne in 1972. She broke tradition by taking the name Margrethe the II, honoring her namesake by doing so, and ever since her namesake has been known as Margrete the I of Denmark, Norway and Sweden.
