Generally European Women don't go after wealth of Men too much(Apart from Gold diggers who live in any other country) compared to South Asian Women. But men should not expect slaves who perform household tasks. I've seen many of Sri Lankan men in beachside who married to Western women. This is not a big thing.

I also dated a German girl and they easily start loving you, if you show them real love and affection. They have seen money, luxury, wealth, development and everything, you name it.. and the missing piece in their life is true love and they will go for anyone who gives it. But in Asia and Africa, many women (not all), haven't seen that luxury, wealth and everything those Western women have seen, so they sometimes prioritize that over the true love. It's always based on the context. My German girlfriend wants to travel with me, bathe in lakes and to be by the side.. She's happy with the minimal things.

I can speak quite a bit of Sinhala now, of course I’ve been here for 4 years, but just like Lahiru, we are nervous to speak each others language on video for fear of judgement. But hey, maybe we’ll post a fun ditl video only speaking the others language 🙈

New Year actually heralds in the flowery and fruit season. That's why it's hottest during this part of the year so that trees can ripen the fruit and be ready. We too observe New Year and it has always revived us a new start. Going to temple does calm your soul..

Suba Aluth Avuruddak Wewa! I loved everything this video had to offer! It is the way the two of you find joy in your company that strikes as unique and so inspiring! May the New Year bring you many happy memories Lucie and Lahiru! I am totally against fireworks during any festive period. It is hazardous to all animals, and the people in this country are completely deaf and blind to understand the true meaning of compassion. Hope the dogs at the sanctuary are well and happy.

Thank you for understanding about the fireworks, unfortunately it doesn’t just happen at New Year, there are so many festivals in Sri Lanka where fireworks are used, and we’ve seen first hand working at the sanctuary the affects it has in the animals here, so so sad, we can all have a lot of fun without using fireworks!

Love your home videos. Cushion covers are very easy to make, you can fold the material around and have an opening to put the pillow inside. Janome machines are great, and have the easiest instructions I have ever read.

Nice to see you visiting a a Buddhist temple with Lahiru during Sinhala and Tamil New year. Same way I hope that Lahiru will accompany you to a service in a Christian church during the Christmas season. You both already know what is good from bad and what is right from wrong and both religions teach good principles. You don’t need follow fundamental religious beliefs to lead a good happy life but just be secular.

As a child we ate ripe mangoes sliced dipped in white vinegar then sprinkled with curry powder and salt delicious 😋 also pickle pineapple sliced with masala and salt brought back memories, Happy New year 🎊
