Today, on Women’s Equality Day, let the courageous, passionate, and revolutionary women of Yosemite inspire you to reach new heights. Ratified on August 18, 1920 but not certified until August 26, 1920, the 19th Amendment gave women the right to vote. Thank you to all leaders, activists and everyday people that fought, and still fight, for gender equality. Visit go.nps.gov/yosewomen for more information and to visit our virtual Yosemite Women exhibit.

And we will have to wait a long time to see men given the exact same respect on this channel. So much for equality. I will use the vote they got for me and vote for less pandering and more real respect on a daily basis instead of a 2 minute highlight reel.

I don't really understand your comment, but you are right about giving credit to the men too.. Maybe they were just talking about the few woman that became rangers there. I use to go to Yosemite all the time with my Dad, he taught me so much.

@@wildwildItaly Men have been in the front of recognition, including accomplishments actually performed by women, for virtually ever. One video is presented showcasing women, and folks start getting upset. There is still plenty of recognition of men and their accomplishments. Here is just one: kzbin.info/www/bejne/jGPIe6WGr9ZkiM0

I am not a liberal (independent), but I don’t see anything wrong with celebrating women‘s role in the past and present of Yosemite. If you want the male version of this, just read the general history of Yosemite and clap yourself on the back if you’re a man. Women are playing a bigger role in our society every day, get used to it. Everyone is looking for role models. If this challenges your masculinity, go out and do something badass like the founders of Yosemite and problem solved.

@@SpaceTravel1776 I LOVE your channel name. What a great name. Seriously! I have no masculinity, I am a woman, and I know when I see feminist propaganda, and the National Parks and NASA especially are pouring it on thick for a couple of years now. Presumably part of the "resistance" crowd. You don't have to be a man to see when you are being manipulated. Balance in everything for success.

They talked about the 1800's when women got to vote and be rangers that's pretty cool, but those college students has nothing to do with, woman rights or doing a good thing for the park.. My father was a huge lover of Yosemite and helped to protect hawks.. Allot of people were not mentioned here. But still it was cool to see the old black & white photos... 🌻

You might want to research some of that history. How is a new generation learning to enjoy and respect the wild country not germane?
