I live in Vancouver BC Canada and our family is very close. My Momma lived with me the last 20 years of her life. In every area, family is important no matter what country you live in. I was in Italy in July and family is so important there also. I understand you are proud to live where you live, but remember it is the same everywhere. People are helping people living their lives and being good humans to one anouther. I love watching your videos and seeing the many similarities and differences. I also love learning more about gardening so I can improve our garden. Thanks Tipper. Ps wanted to buy a mug so badly but the shipping was about the same price as the mug. Would have been almost $70. Gonna have to be happy with my cookbook 😊

Thank you for sharing your day with us, Tipper. My momma lived with me for the last 18 years of her life and helped me so much when my daughter was little. There's nothing like family. My daughter is all grown and lives 3 1/2 hours away, so I don't get to see her all the time. I miss those days.

Three of my friends and I get together for our birthdays. We had a play group with our children when they were little. Our children are grown in their thirties and we now have grandchildren. Try putting your soap in one of those organza drawstring bags. The bits of additions to the soaps will usually stay inside the bag. A bonus is that you can keep using your little pieces of soap until they're all gone.

It’s interesting to see a bit of Murphy.. my grandma and sister lived there in fifties and sixties. I spent a few summers with her…big garden, milked cow and she churned butter, fresh fried chicken( go in yard, grab chicken and wring it’s neck🙃scared me as a child , never sassed granny😊oh and used the outhouse with Sears catalog as reading material!

Patchouli was a favorite of mine as well from years ago - then I moved on to TABU by Dana and it became my signature scent and which does have patchouli in it, but more subtle. We have never lived close to any of our family when we had our children at home. It is hard but the plus side was that it made the four of us extremely close to each other. Now that they are married with children of their own, they don’t live near me but I travel to see them about every other month. While I’m there, I try to do all the things that the busy mamas don’t ever have time to do. Such as extra cleaning or catching up on all the laundry. They love for me to just cook a meal and clean up the kitchen. I tell them that I love having the opportunity to help them because I never had that kind of help. They are very appreciative of every little thing I do.

I LOVE Patchouli! I wear Patchouli perfume, it is a little hard to find. But being a child of the 70’s the scent just makes my heart happy! I try to keep Patchouli candles and incense.
