Thank you Mom. My sentiments exactly. I am 65, but I tell you. Every flag I pass by or everytime I hear a patriotic song, I absolutely get covered in chills and tears start rolling down my cheeks. Just thinking about the lives lost to get us where we are. God Bless them and God Bless the USA. ♥🤍💙

You know, we don't and can't control what country we are born in, so I am grateful and thank God often that I was born in America while praying for all those that are born into countries that don't have freedom or have lots of strife and conflict in their country. Ira looks so cute in his sun glasses. I can't wait to see Woody in sun glasses too! They are both so handsome! We didn't do anything for the 4th this year. Our kids and Granddaughters were off enjoying things. It was just too hot for me. We are always thankful to be Americans. My husband and I both come from military families. His mother was even an army nurse. His parents were in World War two, my Daddy was a sailor in the Korean War, my husband was in the army during the Vietnam conflict as was one of his brothers. My grandpa was at Pearl Harbor. If I hadn't gotten married I was going into the Navy. Like you Tipper I tear up thinking about this great country of ours.

The Pressley estate is gorgeous ! The profusion of herbs and flowers look like an English cottage garden❤ Thank you all for sharing your 4th. I just set in a chair on my porch and watch the sky. I have neighbors all around who shoot fireworks. Free show! When I was a child, we ALL went for a big pitch-in meal & games at Pap's house. I prefer staying home on the lesser holidays.🎉😊😊 The boys fit in so naturally with the family. Seems like they've always been there.

I am 59. We live near the lake and we watched as neighbors shot off more fireworks than ever before. I hope it's a sign that God is bringing us back to Him as a nation. Sweet babies ❤

My daughter and family go to a friends holiday party with big fireworks in their neighborhood. Lots of people. Lots of kids. Lots of fun activities. I am 72 and do not like crowds and loud noise so I choose to stay at my place for a nice quiet day resting in the air conditioning. I had a great day. Glad you all had a great day. I, too, get emotional and teary eyed when I hear our National Anthem and talk of our beautiful Country. Same with my family and of as much or more about our Holy God. Those who hate us shouldn't take that as weakness. It's because of that very strong emotion that we will fight to the death for Father, Country and Family. Count on it.

I love how Tipper teared up! My Mom, now 94, said she was always moved to tears when they had town parades or heard the National Anthem. We need to stop putting our heads in the sand and see what is going on at the southern border. The babies are precious!

I'm with you. It's very special to be an American, and when you teared up, so did I! America shall be saved; God wants it and we're with Him. Watching your solid, loving family celebrate the Day of Independence is a sign that there is hope for all of our families to return to the good ways. Up here in New Hampshire there were family cookouts, and bonfires, and fireworks all over, and then I got to have a cookout with my own siblings in Massachusetts. I am so grateful to be an American. So good to see Ira and Woody at the same time; what a treat, thank you both, Corie and Katie.

I loved this wonderful video, and thanks for showing us what you all did for the 4th of July! I don't blame Tipper for tearing up, my love for our country makes me tear up, too. I just loved hearing little Ira's grunts in the background, and little Woody is so sweet! @thepressleygirls PLEASE READ, Corie, I hate to tell you this, but the tall plant in your flower bed may be Jimson weed (Datura stramonium), a very toxic plant. Please do some research to make sure, and if it is Jimson weed be very care about removing it. We one come up in mulch we got from a cattle farm. It's very poisonous to humans and animals, so make sure Olive doesn't get around it. I hope I'm wrong, but it looks just like what we had.

Happy belated 4th. We had our grown family and 8 year old grand daughter over for a picnic. It was so hot that we ate indoors in the ac. Later we all went in the above ground pool. That pool is 33 years old! I loved seeing the babies. Nothing like a sweet new baby. Thanks for sharing.

I remember growing up my pawpaw would place the watermelon in the creek to get it good and cold. I had almost forgotten about that.. thank you for the memory
