Aww...what a sweet story! I enjoyed it and it lifted my spirits. My sweet Daddy slipped the bonds of this old world and went to Jesus yesterday. I'm sure my Mom greeted him and they're together again. I had asked for prayer for him and I thank all of you for praying. Dad is now and forevermore healed.

Beautiful story. Sometimes God defers the blessing, and we don’t always make an association between some kindness that God noticed, with a reward or a blessing. Not that God always rewards us with a tangible blessing. But in this case, God needed the blessing to be immediate so that everyone involved would witness the correlation between all three transactions. It must’ve been important to God that they received a clear gift of knowledge and wisdom that day. I think the lesson impacted all three individuals and stayed with them for the rest of their lives. Obviously, the wise lesson was carried down to others and documented in a book so that we could share in the blessings in 2024. Similar to the gift of the magi.

Such a great story. I remember a store in Hanging Dog that would let people get stuff on credit. Saved me and my husband a few times when he wasn't able to work. His work depended on the weather.

My oldest son just left for his Naval post in Hawaii, so my voice has been rather shaky lately. My friends can tell over the phone that I'm having a difficult time with him being gone and so far away. I love this story. It's always so touching to me when an older brother shows that he has been thinking of his younger siblings. Tipper this one reminds me of a story my grandmother told of my Uncle Earl coming home after WWII. They had a refrigerator on the back porch and as a teen ager he had a habit when coming home, opening the refrigerator door as he got home late from a date. She had no idea when he would get home after the war and the last bus passed their home about 10 PM. My grandmother was really anxious for his safe return and would wait each night until after the last bus, hoping he would return. Hello Tipper, my dad had a TV repair shop in 50’s and 60’s, and he also ran into folks who wanted their repaired TV and when ready to pick up did not have money, my father would explain I have 5 children to feed. Long story short he closed his shop after ten years and went to work at Kimberly Clark as an electrician. He tried to give people time to pay and TV but could not sometimes.

Tipper, honey your voice sounds a little different in this video. The crud is going around here and buddy i sure got it for Christmas - sicker than a dog! Praying for you that you don't get it! I felt a little something coming on on the 24th, Christmas day and the 26th were the worse. 27th still coughing but fever and aches and pains are gone. Reckon i'll be coughing for at least a week - I already have asthma so it really hit me hard! I listen to you read every single night at bedtime! The thread that runs so true is my favorite book so far , wished Jesse would have added a few more chapters!
